omoo! He was probably killed by the taxi driver who conveyed him from the airport. I have heard similar stories like these and it was exactly what happened. In Nigeria, act like you are dangerous or danger will meet you.

And there was nobody in that UK, not even his school admission office that could verify within a day whether or not he left UK? They now waited till June to confirm if he arrived.

What a country! this one chance are in airport clame to be taxi drivers, if your person is coming from overseas please just go to airport and wait for him there so that two of you will come home.... Fg has failed all of us

I don't want anybody to know I am back, all my friends back in Nigeria are broke and will be disturbing me with begging for money this and that, it's better I enter silently to avoid friends and family billing.


Because you traveled abroad, you forgot and deleted all your friends back in Nigeria because you feel you are now bigger than them and they can only be begging you for money up and down. So no more trusted friend or ally back home.


In the process, you decide to trust your life with a total stranger forming Mr or Miss Nice. Some guys can even follow a girl they met online and not inform any friend or family member in Naija that they are back just to avoid giving one or two friends/family some few dollars or pounds lol.



God have mercy, what a tragedy for the family, especially his parents and siblings

hope he never enter one chance...should have booked uber/bolt. I always do that after arriving at Lagos airport but who knows what really happened so I just hope it's not one chance.

Why are people always returning to Nigeria after going to UK?
Guy must have been speaking we Oyibo accent. That one will now blow the taxi drivers head. In this harsh economy, they will just be having kidnapping idea, to get that UK Pounds from him and his English.

This is heartbreaking.
And if he had said he isn't coming home, home people will say all manner of things against him.
Pray he will be found.

when u arrive at the airport of ur destination 1st action will be to contact ur family or contact person even b4 stepping out to leave the airport premises to update them on ur next move and direction.

Making contact with a stranger be it cab guy or someone u just met on the trip b4 ur family upon arrival is not a wise security move.

While I am joining his folks in faith to believe he will be found alive, but considering the time frame, I am afraid the best they can hope for is that, he somehow lost his memories due to physical or spiritual trauma. Hence, he's roaming the streets or in a mental facility. At this juncture, I can only hope that the family gets some closure at the very least.

No, some people think they are okay finding their way around. They don't want to part with shishi for family member. Arriving from overseas is no longer a big deal. Call a relative to wait for you upon arrival and be safe. I sabi road dey lead to danger o.

This is the reason why you shouldn't tell people about your movement. I feel someone closer to him must have known that he was returning from the UK and planned on how to captivate him and loot all his wealth. I pray he will be found. It's time people should start being discreet about their lives. Trust no one!

Surprise is not worth it. Place a call across if you are arriving alone. When you are a couple, you may not need a waiter. Returning from overseas is not a big deal anymore unless you are from a village where no one has ever traveled abroad.

Use mainly registered taxis or Uber when arriving in Nigeria

That way it is documented somewhere

Using Uber you can share your trips with family and friends too

Even when surprising ur family there some be a family member or inner circle friend aware of ur movement. its just normal communication for any long trip.

When last did you hear this sort of thing happen? The airport taxis are all registered with FAAN, same as Uber/Bolt if he used the latter option. So I'm not really sure.

How are you sure he patronized any of those options. Sometimes if you want to save some money, you could just walk outside the arrival and take regular kabu kabu. There so many of those hanging around that Ikeja area.
Also if you live very far, you could take a taxi to bus park and then find your way from there.

You have a point.

People arrive Nigeria in their hundreds daily. I personally know very frequent travellers who breeze in and out almost bi-monthly. Any regular airport taxi or Uber would take you where you're going.

There might be a lot more to the story than meets the eye.

This is mainly for local flights, especially when arriving at MM2. Some cheapskates with light luggage may choose to 'leg it' out of the airport to the road and hitch buses or whatever.

I'm not sure anyone who arrives at the international airport would consider that option. The distance is way way longer, with all your luggage? Ontop saving how much? Not likely Come on.

Since May 5? After 5 month of disappearance you're just announcing? May God protect him wherever he is and bring him back safely to his family.
