Those days in Idunmota when our parents would tell us kids to go and call taxi from taxi park and we will ride the taxi home before our parents then holler at all our friends on the street because we went to call taxi man

Those Baba oni-taxi also had flogging canes in those taxis because of us children who would play suwe on the main road

Lagos of those era when we had Indians and Lebanese shops in front of our residential homes and the Indians would use thesame toilet in our backyard

Good old Lagos when, the ONLY TINUBU we knew of was the Tinubu Square opposite the old church near CSM ( And take note that the Tinubu statue was that of Late Legend, Madam Efunroye Tinubu, not your demi god )

A tranquil , peaceful and serene Lagos before the coming of the people our Lagos ancestors called Atoun-rinwa ( strangers from yonder)

In the 70s ... frstac existed, ikeja and its environs existed , v.i , marina and ikoyi existed... surulere , yaba , apapa existed.... okoko , satellite, ijanikin existed ....oshodi ,mushin , amuwo , cele , agbara , orile all existed and were thriving ...so how was 80% Bush.. do u know lagos was the capital of Nigeria as of then... This section of federal Palace no longer functions.... its the left part that still functions....the part u posted haven't functioed in almost 20 yrs ... but the other part of the building that was captured in that old pic is the one that functions and the interior is so beautiful... one of the finest hotels on the island .. better than Eko hotel , Radisson Blue , oriental , intercontinental, 4 points ....
