Right, so, MOST mixed race folks have caramel complexions, BUT there's also a vast range of complexions from CARAMEL to PALE skin tones with mixed race (biracial children) as well which segues right into what YOU said in your reply. This is based off of genetic variations passed on from both parents to their children. I remember reading a copy of Ebony Magazine back in the late 1980s which featured an African-American lady whose father is African-American and mother a Caucasian-American. Guess what, she was all White (pale skin) with blue eyes and the unmistakably Caucasian looks. Her other siblings didn't have the same complexion as her... they ALL had darker caramel skin tones.

It's the same with folks of African ancestry from South of the Sahara who are spread around the world with BROWN complexions BUT there's ALSO a range of complexions among BROWN complexioned folks from dark brown to light brown (fair complexions). I don't use the term BLACK to describe the African skin complexion because the real complexion is BROWN and NOT black.

I have a vast knowledge of genetics gleaned from encyclopedias in my family home library and from school decades back. My biological mother was a senior medical professional before she retired years back too, so, I read all her medical books back in the day long before the internet came into existence and afforded us the opportunity to instantly retrieve targeted information.

I just logged back in. Thanks for the feedback here. The TikTok app isn't among the top apps that I use on my mobile devices. I didn't like the platform because of the interphase when I first tried it a few years back so I uninstalled it.

I used to see an older NL profile pic of you wearing a medical uniform, so, I thought you're a professional RN or something but I never thought to ask further. Genetics is indeed a vast field and holds a lot of promise for mankind. There's a lot going on in the gene therapy and stem cell therapy fields which I'm very excited about. I'll ask you some specifics on your career path later.

But looking at some pictures of her via online image search, it's obvious that she's NOT a full Caucasian but has got curly hair like you stated indicating a biracial origin.

I Googled Ruth Odus a few moments ago and the results popped up her IG handle with the Iyapupaarewa name instantly. Her surname Odus seems like a shortened version of the family name Odusola. Odus could also be a standalone family name since a few others used the family name Odus.
