President Bola Tinubu has sacked five
ministers from his cabinet.

The affected ministers are Uju Kennedy-
Ohanenye, minister of women affairs; Lola Ade-
John, the minister of tourism; and Jamila Bio
Ibrahim, minister of youth development.

Tahir Mamman was also relieved of his duty as
the minister of education while Abdullahi
Muhammad Gwarzo was let go as minister of
state, housing and urban development.

The termination of their appointment was
announced at the federal executive council (FEC) meeting on Wednesday.

“The president thanked the outgoing members of the Federal Executive Council for their service to the nation while wishing them the best in their
future endeavours,” the presidency said in a
statement
.

“He then charged the newly appointed ministers
as well as their reassigned colleagues to see
their appointment as a call to serve the nation.
“He added that all appointees must understand
the administration’s eagerness and determination

to set Nigeria on the path to irreversible growth
and invest the best of their abilities into the
actualisation of the government’s priorities.”

The president also announced the re-
assignment of 10 ministers to new portfolios and
the nomination of seven new ministers for
onward transmission to the senate for confirmation

Nice move. Sometimes I have always asked myself how some of those ministers made it to the list. Could Tinubu eventually turn out to be the most courageous Nigerian leader of 21st Century?

That Tahir, Minister of education is the most clueless of them all. I wonder why the government would be appointing people that know nothing about education to lead there.. that's how Adamu was appointed during PMBs disastrous regime and it was a complete failure.

The South values education more, find someone there to lead abeg.

Bat doesn't believe in keeping you too long in a position people will see you shine. He didn't want fashola to get second term but that one knew how to play politics well. Even sanwolu if not because it was obvious people were getting fed up of his imposition of governors he wouldn't have wanted him to get second term.
To him it's time for another person to come and chop.
