Good evening everyone.
My CELPIP result is as follows:.
Your language test result is good to get you in the pool while you work on the other factors that can increase your crs score (if you haven't exhausted that yet)

Oh. I'm under 30, have 3yrs work experience and also have a professional degree equivalent to a Masters but it gave me this score.

Estimate your language score using the highest scores (this will determine if you're to rewrite). Answer provided earlier was in response to "if the score can get you into the pool". Remember, CELPIP is over 12.

Good evening everyone.

My CELPIP result is as follows:

L =9
R =8
W=10
S=9

Average: 9

Is this a good score to get into the pool? Or should I strictly target PNP Nomination?

I calculated my score and the CRS is 414.

Please advice.
This score will definitely get you in the pool, however, a 9 in reading would have almost perfected the result, you can try reading=9 in the CRS calculator and see how your CRS will spike. You need to re-write CELPIP to have a better CRS score but this time around, aim for LSRW(10,10,10,10). If you can get that, then you've maxed the points for first language which in turn will give you a very good CRS score. All the best!

This is the second Trades draw of 2024.

This is a very good indication that there is still hope for one more draw in each of the remaining category based ITA.

God abeg, Learning French is driving me crazy.

I have a response that may be debatable to this one, but I am going to talk on my personal experience.

I didn't submit bank statement, so there was no way IRCC could have checked when the funds in my account entered(It is a lot of funds, both NGN and USD and each of them was more enough for my POF for my family size). What I did was apply to my bank(one of the international banks operating in Nigeria) and they gave me a one page letter showing my balances as at day of application, they stated the month and year I opened the account and stated that I had run the account satisfactorily since then. They didn't write any 6 months average balance or anything of such.

And I got PPR (2 times self, they sent and sent again... Lol). In my opinion the bank's reference letter trumps everything else and should suffice. POF is only submitted after ITA, but since there is a request for 6 months average balance, it may be proper to have had the funds for a while incase ADR is raised for full statement.
Thank you

A couple comment for OP & intending applicants, POF is not one size fit all.

Some banks(GTB, Access Bank) won’t include your current balance no matter what you say in the branch, hence the need for 6 months statement of account. IRCC requires the bank to state average balance for past 6 months in the reference letter.

Your salary also determines the amount of scrutiny the POF documents will get, I’m fairly certain @Farawayman was not earning #100-150k per month(~#1,000,000perAnnum) and then submitted POF of +#20,000,000 and would have gotten PPR with just bank reference letter without an ADR explaining source of lump sum back when he applied.
e.g Miss B who works as a Senior Engineer with Chevron/Shell and earns millions of Naira monthly(some allowances are paid in $ self) may not need to explain source of funds but Mr A, a bank teller with UBA for 3 years will need to explain lump sums.
Ìrè oooo
Thanks for this. So far I’ve only been able to raise about half of the amount required, and it would take a while to come up with the rest. Should I enter the pool now or wait till I’ve been able to raise everything? What do you recommend?

Please how is it like renewing a Nigerian passport in Canada, please can someone share his/her experience?
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by MayorOfEdmonton: 3:10am On Oct 24, 2024
Hey, entering the pool is independent of having POF, applying after you get ITA though depends on having POF.
Some applicants don’t even have POF in their account until they get ITA, then a family member gifts them whole/part of the money…they merge a gift deed + evidence of transfer in addition to bank reference letter.
It’s always best to enter pool as soon as eligible.

Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by folla: 4:47am On Oct 24, 2024
You apply online and you are assigned an available date for biometric capture in Ottawa. Wait time to capture could be between 2 to 3 months.

You must go to Ottawa for capture and thereafter your passport is posted to you within 4 to 6 weeks.

Enter the pool immediately, when you get to the POF bridge you'll cross it, that is the least of your current worries.

Gtb does it o, u just gotta talk to the right ppl
I never submitted bank statement
What i submitted is exactly what is on ircc website which is a letter on gtbanks letterhead stating that i owe no debt, stating my acc number, stating my current balance and my avg bal in last 6months.

But u r not far from the truth, because if not that i know the manager well, he wont have done it

It appears the following are going to be only categories going forward:

- French proficiency
- what looks like a modification to CEC (those already in Canada)
