The Best system for us is regional system. Let each region develop it region. Not one region to be depends on other regions. God bless each region but we depends on oil too much.

Obasanjo is a very unhappy man just because Tinubu is the biggest Yoruba person to ever have been born.

Obasanjo desperately wants to be the biggest Yoruba man but Tinubu has overtaken him and that is causing Obasanjo so much pain.
Till Tinubu die he will never get to the top-level of Obasanjo. They're not mates in politics, in age ,in influence, in experience and lastly in achievement/impact.

When obj was busy rolling with the big dogs Tinubu was busy working as a garage boy in osun state.

You these crybabies need to stop playing victim. It’s very annoying to be honest. @bolded, why aren’t you asking why those who don’t trust the ibos develop that sentiment in the first place? Did their distrust just come into life out of thin air? Now let’s reverse the scenario and say one day, a group of soldiers of Hausa extraction decided to take out corrupt leader from all regions and regardless of their region of origins but on the D-day, they killed every powerful ibo (including your family’s head and breadwinner), Niger Deltan and Yoruba leader and miraculously, they declared that none of the Hausas in power was as corrupt as those ibos killed hence, they were all spared except for the one (a soldier) that decided to not support this hypocrisy. Also miraculously, the Hausa man that was the head of government also “coincidentally” travelled out just a few hours before the bloodshed and since there were already a leadership vacuum, an Hausa man was installed to be the president and he vowed to deal with every one of his brothers that participated in the killings of your family’ members and leaders but he failed to do so even after 3 years.
Now, your ppl, on seeing the Hausa killing of the ibos and leaders from every other region except theirs as an Hausa coup, decided to wage a counter-war against the Hausas and they eventually came out victorious subsequently restoring an ibo man into power after successfully killing the Hausa president who was forced on you during the aftermath of the first killings by the Hausa. Now the question is, are you ibos going to ever trust the Hausas with power again in this life and even the next? Be sincere with yourself Chinedu.
You can’t do that to anyone and still expect to be trusted. Nigeria didn’t know something called military coup until your cursed ibo brothers brought it just the same way you introduced armed robbery, baby factory, human ritual and kidnapping to other regions. Kidnapping was alien to us before the Northerners learned the trade from you. Werey gbogbo
They don't want regional government. They are fighting tooth and nail against it and they have found succour under that selfish old man called OBJ. Yet they will be shouting Biafra. Regional government will be a precursor to the actualization of their Biafra, yet they don't want it. They are the worst kind of human beings.

We will still be in this discussion by 2027. Have you heard Tinubu talk about resource control anymore or restructuring? Talk is cheap

The major difference is that Igbos would not want to be in the same country with those they don't trust, so that we can be fighting forever

But it is remarkable that Nigeria trusted the Fulani enough to elect and re-elect a Fulani man called Buhari as President, even though Fulani herdsmen were killing Nigerians in all 6 geopolitical zones

Can you explain that magic for me?

WE ARE NOT ONE!

The elites who are the major beneficiary of the system are the ones fighting tooth and nail to keep everyone together.

How can we be one, when I can't peacefully sell or consume alcohol in Kano?

How are we one, when one ethnic group is not allowed to vote or be voted for in another part of the country?

How can we be one, when you need different requirements to gain admission into the University in different parts of the country?

We are one, yet you take the resources of one region to develop the entire country, while a certain region keep theirs to themselves, and use banditry to stop anyone from going close to their resources.

I repeat, WE ARE NOT ONE!
Please can you pardon Obasanjo’s ignorance and after all he never finished High School. Baba is an old illiterate and he is completely out of touch with reality. I will listen to the young and vibrant minds before I listen to a broken elder. Fredrick Douglas’s quote: “ “It's easier to build strong children than to repair broken men” .

Onasanjo never visited Yorubaland for his 8 years in office and only time he stepped his shaky legs in Lagos was during Election Campaign billed ‘Lagos Tsunami” and most of our people rejected his campaign’s title because we live by Atlantic Ocean and we don’t want Tsunami in Lagos. He finished his tenure and instead of him to stay in Abuja or any Northern State or Igboland, he ran back to SW.

Yorubas need to be more vigilant as Nigeria will never be one. If you live in oversea and you will find out that Nigeria is not one. Ibos, Hausas and even Edo folks prefer their tribes than others from different tribes.

If Obasanjo wants one Nigeria, he should advocate freedom of religion and should preach state of residence and these will chaos on steroids for the calamity that will ensue.

Is it not thesame OBJ that introduced?
North East
South West
South South
North Central
North West
South East

6 geo political zones were introduced by OBJ

Oga Amotekun is a failure. The SW is still more in number of deaths and kidnapping than the south east(Numbers don't lie). so your postulation makes no sense. Obasanjo says the fact. the reason why you guys hate him is that he doesn't exhibit that closet tribalism and stupid behavior most of you exhibit.
You're nothing but a bigoted hater living in denial. Kindly carry on.

You are preaching one Nigeria and on the other hand you are being a secessionist. why most you Yoruba tribalists hate Obasanjo because he never towed your tribal line and he was more nationalistic and he never gave a damn about you bigots.

Your question is actually your own ancestral problem and cup of tea my guy grin I know the write up is too much and lengthy for your little brain.
How does what I wrote correlate with the gibberish you’re asking? He said the ibos are not trusted by other Nigerians and I gave him the reason why nobody trusts you. I also asked if you would trust anyone who had tried to eliminate you in the past. Next time, if you must shoot at the devil, better don’t miss. If the Igbo coup didn’t happen, we wouldn’t be in the mess we’re in today. Ibo started it and they should enjoy it. I can never put my trust in someone who had once made an attempt at eliminating me. Do you still blame the Yoruba/Hausa/Fulani ppl for holding on to power with everything they have? You shouldn’t blame them because you gave them every reason to. The people who don’t trust you with power aren’t being paranoid, those cursed Igbo soldiers shouldn’t have carried out those cowardly attacks

Re: Regionalism Is Root Of Nigeria’s Problems, Says Obasanjo by gudugudumeje: 8:13pm On Oct 23, 2024
What a very senseless statement from a personalist calling himself a nationalist, seeking relevance after destroying everything good, and beautiful in Nigeria since 1974 to date.

His poor education and learning in History of Political Theory, Political Economy, and Management involving Human Development studies is his major problem. As such, he cannot shed even a part of his leopard's skin of a neo-colonialist radical W/Europe& N/America powers and principalities deposited in him to subjugate others and thrive his ego.

Who are his mentors? None. And so he is a man of no individual integrity but crooked, cruel, and squalid pedigree and antecedents. He is sad the ethnic nationalities and entities making up the amalgam called Nigeria and the one-Nigeria fraud of ages have not been obliterated. Or, rubbished to the dust-bin of history,WHICH HE, OBASANJO AND HIS CO-TRAVELLERS IN THE LEAGUE WILL CERTAINLY PASS INTO. Deo Volontee. Period.

How much are you being paid to tell lies and bring nepotism and tribalism into every thread online, you’re a disgrace to the African race or should I say you’re a typical African, imagine turning blind eyes to the truth believing in illusion people Like you would rather vote another Buhari for 8 yrs instead of voting for a competent leader, stop embarrassing the learned and rational Yoruba race.
