When you talk of film making in Africa you talk of Nigeria, the largest on the continent. Other African nationals are relocating to Nigeria to breakthrough and you are talking about Ghana? Though, that's his country. But why talk about Tanzania before Nigeria? I've never seen any Tanzania movie before in my entire life.

Why would someone that doesn't think about Nigeria play Okonkwo?
The sad truth is Nigeria is not conducive for any foreigner right now to invest. The parameters are damn too negative. Ghana is more attractive, stable and conducive. The target market obviously is Nigeria, if only those thieves we have in power have an iota of shame.

He's a stand up guy quite alright, but I've never seen the sisterhood ganging up to defend any man before. The "me too movement" seems to be only designed for bringing down successful men.
Only rapey men have problems with the me too movement. If a successful man is a molester then he deserves to be brought down. If he’s not, he has nothing to worry about. I can bet you Idris supports the me too movement

in Nigeria only the yoruba sector of movies are serious about making good movies.
The rest are just nonsense eyesore were an igwe son will go to another village and pretend like a poor man to get a wife or zubi Michael screaming "na we dey hia" as soon as i see zubi and the other village champion nkechi blessing i just quickly switch channels.

Exonerated? Are mistaking it for a court and the presiding judge? Why should the movement exonerate a man when it’s a movement to give voice to victims of abuse and molestation?

I was in Ghana with an American friend and I was shocked at how focused Ghana was on tourism. Very structured and making lot of money from their past slavery.

We visited Badagry as well and I was ashamed with what I saw. The slavery artefact was kept with a family in one shop. I was shocked. Former Governor Fashola was building a gigantic slavery ship but it has been abandoned.

My friend told me Nigeria was not serious and she ended up opening her company in Ghana.

Nigeria needs to do better in tourism.

If you want to do real movies in Africa and I mean real African movies. Not Hollywood produced movies shot on location in Africa o!... consider living in Lagos, Nigeria or at least make it your primary place of work. If not... forget it. You never wan start.

Can’t be it. Idris is a stand up guy.
Only rapey, misogynistic and child molesting men have such things to worry about. The sisterhood will march in the streets to defend Idris. When we see a good man, we know and support him to the last. Honestly it would be a HUGE miracle if anything criminal ever comes out about this guy.
lol really ? You mean in his entire 52 years he hasn’t groped any woman or coerced a woman into sex or inappropriately touched a woman ? Listen every man alive has a potential case against him because we have all done what woke culture is now calling criminal activity, it’s just a matter of you getting fame and the powers that be deciding to open your book. They will always find something on anybody. That time you toasted that woman and she came to your apartment and she pretended not to want sex but you sweet talk her into it ? Well that’s 20 years in jail if they open your book. So tell me are there any innocent men ?

Oga, tourism cannot work in naija period. Know this and know peace. A country just to move around you need police escort, not just for security, but to avoid embarrassment from same police on the road. A country you cannot just hop in your car with family and drive accoss state without considering many variables. Can you enter your car and drive from Lagos to eg obudu cattle ranch? The wahala you will face ehh, no one will tell you to think twice next time.
My now late papa 12 years ago bought an RV after seeing his gran kids loved Ben10 (cartoon), shipped it to naija with the hope of recreating the grandpa image of the program, to take his grandkids on road trips. Omo the first time he tried it, he gave up after that. This is aside the threat of kidnapping on the roads. Imagine kidnappers meeting you with a house on wheels, omo, you go pay hundreds of millions. Lol
That vehicle became decoration his house. Functional but not moved for years.
A country driven to poverty everyone begs, na there you wan do tourism? No be airport begging de start from? Heck I was at redstar express head office at ajao estate to pick percel. From gate man to security to the person that gave me the stuff everyone na "any thing for us?" lol

They've been using AI in foreign movies for some time now. The most popular one people might recall is Paul Walker from Fast and Furious.
They guy died but they used AI to act his role to perfection.
If the news of his death was not out, people won't notice a single difference. Actors should go learn a skill as in a few years, they'll use CGI and AI to make complete high budget movies.
Probably you didn't notice that's the catch grin
Gosh! I'm so sorry guys. So I'm still living in the stone age.

I don’t live with Idris but yes if you ask me to bet, I’d bet he’s never done anything sexually to any woman without her consent. I’ll wait to be proven wrong.

There’s nothing like every man has a potential case against him. Not every man is a rapist, molester or sexual assailant. Don’t try to use this line to maybe feel better about something you’ve done that you shouldn’t have.

How can you compare AI with human beings? Is there any AI character that can make you watch a movie? Is AI human?
AI & CGI have been in Movie Industries for ages grin don't even argue it.

Some characters in movies are not originally played by the said casts, they were carried out by diff people called "stunts" wearing the motion sensors especially when the role is dangerous then later it will be substituted with the original person and you won't tell.

Madam park well.
Many of you Nigerians make a lotta noise. Very few work in silence to give the result you guys boast about.
Elba’s mum is Ghanaian. Ghana is African so why the hate? Why are you guys seemingly xenophobic like some of your embittered half brothers down South?

The funny thing is a lot of these former slaves were taken from nigeria territory. But because Ghana is more focused and organised they've attracted the interest of all those African Americans.

Imagine the effect on our economy if we had programs for them to come in spend time and spend their fx in Nigeria?

Honestly we just keep electing and supporting short sighed leaders

It is his movie. It wasn’t like he was picked.

I agree with you Amaka. We have lots of home-based talented actors and they want Idris to play the role. Okonkwo should be played by a Nigerian, and not just any Nigerian, but an Igbo man specifically. Some of these black celebrities don't really rate Nigeria; they only remember Nigeria whenever they want to cash out. However, I believe the reason he was picked is because of his popularity and influence, which will give the movie the publicity it needs.

Yep! Those guys are creative.
As you are now, if they want to feature you in a movie and yet you did not patispate, all they need to do is to 3D Scan your body to capture the contours of your body that's all. After the acting and motion capturing, during shading they will merge your body then render, that's all.

We’re talking about sexual misconduct no? This is not even in the same league or anything close to it. I don’t know why you guys fall over yourselves to convince women that all men are possibly sexual predators but when a women says it, then it’s becomes a problem. Y’all have to pick a side.

That being said, I never swore Idris never did anything wrong ever in his life. I said I believe and I’d bet (until proven wrong) that he has never sexually assaulted anyone. It’s my belief not a fact. If someone comes forward to accuse him, I won’t dismiss them him/her and claim they’re trying to take him down.

If you like go and find another link where he’s disagreeing with his producers to try connect it somehow to his totally unrelated conversation
