Report reaching Newsmax Nigeria has it that a bus was burnt to ashes last night beyond recognition around G-hostel junction, Abakaliki, Ebonyi State leaving its occupants unrecognisable.

The details of the incident are still sketchy as the immediate and remote causes are yet to be ascertained.

How is it possible that the passengers were not able to escape from the bus before it was engulfed in flames?!

Or were they shot to death before the bus was set on fire?

But wait o. All of dem no wear seat belt, then how comes they all got burnt beyond recognition?

If it's a collision, many passengers would have been knocked unconscious to begin with.

If not, the intense heat will drive all of them into a frenzy such that they won't give each other space to figure out how to open the door.

A similar fire incident on the Otedola bridge in Lagos reflects this scenario where all passengers in a commercial bus were consumed because they were all struggling to exit the bus at the same time.

it's not easy to escape, that's how the bus I took to delta in 2019 burnt when we reached mbiama to ashes, nobody survived, we all died
