Unlike other states, Anambra has the uniqueness of its gov election outcome not determined or even influenced by civil servants. Even the igwes or obis hardly hold serious influence as well. The powers lie in the pgs of various town unions. The govt either handpicks the pgs or endorses them, and as such, they wield considerable influence in their respective domains. Also the church, IE the Anglicans and catholics. Even the pentecostals. The catholic father ebube monso is another defacto godfather in Anambra state. The Anglican bishop of awka is the elder brother of the dep gov. Then you'd as well talk about the various markets and motor parks chairmen respectively. These myriads of groups are the powers behind the scenes. They are all apga members. Even if soludo should slash civil servant salaries by half, he will still win 2nd term as long as the aforementioned groups are in his camp.

Oh do Anambra state still have a governor,because a lot has been happening there,especially in terms of insecurity,and no measures has been taken atall..Even last I went there,I didn't feel any impact from the governor,and next year is there election no tangible project done,rather it was demolishing of people's properties.Lazy minds and Siphoners in affairs of leadership in Nigeria spit..

I spend N10,000 almost daily on unreasonable things.That same amount is what the state government is adding to pensioners' pensions on a monthly basis and is been announced on the media as an achievement.Politicians no get joy at all.
