No one can punish the North. The North is an integral part of Nigeria and it is blessed with great resources and potentials. May God bless Nigeria for ever! |

Tinubu has no reason to do such. All current grid collapses have been general as far as I know. I am sure PBAT respects the North and values the support of the region. He is still his own man though and will not be blackmailed or bullied by Northerners. |

SadiqBabaSani:Lol you are a clown. Heads of TCN, NERC,REA and ECN are Northerners. Bandits and terrorists have been busy having a field day blowing up installations, substations et al. The North is destroying itself. This nonsense started from the time of the President Buhari bit it wasnt curtailed. Now it has become a standard. |

WizardOfNG:There is blackout in the North currently. Its only a matter of time for it to take a political angle. This government is loosing capital in the eyes of northerners and its not even funny. |
| Re: Grid Collapse: Is Tinubu Punishing The North by odejimioflagos: 3:20pm On Oct 26, 2024 |
This is a cheap shot at Tinubu. How can you blame the president for a grid collapse that has been happening since 1999? |

No one is trying to get at the North. |

It's this level of reasoning, emotions and tribalism that got us as a country to this point of no return we are presently. I mean how can you ask if he is punishing the North as if every other region is enjoying massively ![]() Instead of everyone coming together to call a spade a spade, No we won't. We would rather start putting tribal colouration into the whole issue. Which part of the country or tribe isn't receiving shege from this man right now ![]() |

That is why this country can never progress withiout each region take care of their needs and aspirations. Imagine politicalising national grid collapse as if we have not had countless of it over here in the South. |

I am in Lagos, but I have not had electricity in nearly two weeks due to the recent national grid multiple collapses! There was no need to add ethnic and political nuances to the reasons for the country's poor electrical supply, particularly in the north. |

Hoebiient crew will always try to instigate one sector or tribe against the other, na their way. Something that the whole country suffers from they want to make it look like it is deliberate and that only one sector suffers from it. |

If Tinubu is punishing the North, how come he is also punishing the South? This is a very serious issue. |

SadiqBabaSani:Oga no be only North. It has nothing to do with punishing North. Na today we get light for my area in Lagos even after the restoration of the grid, should I say PBAT is punishing us too. |

SadiqBabaSani:The north is punishing itself. Bandits and Boko Haram are produced by the north, not by south. They go on to destroy power lines. Who is to blame? The former power minister has stated that northerners were given contract to procure and install power equipment but they stole the money and never did anything. Who is to blame? |

This is a conspiracy theory that should be investigated. |
| Re: Grid Collapse: Is Tinubu Punishing The North by WizardOfNG: 11:22pm On Oct 26, 2024 |
dealslip:True. The multiple grid collapse caused blackout disruption in my side of Lagos that has only improved the last two day. Before the grid collapses, light was so good I did not use my gen for like a month. |
| Re: Grid Collapse: Is Tinubu Punishing The North by WizardOfNG: 11:26pm On Oct 26, 2024*. Modified: 12:15am On Oct 27, 2024 |
Eniitankorede:This is the unfortunate truth. The children that Northern leaders failed to educate and uplift , thus ruining their future, are now angry adults with AK47. The North is a ticking time bomb for Nigeria because the leaders there (political, cultural and religious) are resistive to positive and progressive change. |
| Re: Grid Collapse: Is Tinubu Punishing The North by faceland: 2:45am On Oct 27, 2024 |
No. It wasn't intentional. However, oga Tpains supporters are of the opinion that providing Nigerians with electricity is not profitable (causing debt in electricity subsidy). So he is not motivated to resolve the issues. We have been thrown back to the 60's when women and children wake up early to fetch water 1 to 3 kilometers away all day. Water pump can't pump water without NEPA, even the big men that gives free water (Muslims are not stingy with water), they cannot pump the free water. Nairalanders here are talking about "grid has collapse before"... In my life time, this is the first time a state-capital is in darkness for a week since the era of Sani Abacha. Although my village in SS with 4 oil wells only get electricity one day in a week. |
