Though I am a Nigerian but I feel the punitive action against Libya by CAF is rather too harsh.

Awarding points and goals to Nigeria was just enough, the fine part wasn't really necessary.

Libya is a war-wrecked country, from where would they raise 50,000 USD?

Personally, I would have preferred more than this.

The $50k fine is necessary. There must a very strong deterrent on ground against similar acts going forward.

Libya, and some other North Africans need to learn to be courteous, and separate politics from sports.

Lastly, Libya has the largest oil reserve in Africa, and the largest foreign reserves deposit in Africa. . They are not as poor as you think.

3 The Libya Football Federation is ordered to pay a fine of USD 50,000.

4. The fine is to be paid within 60 days of notification of the present decision.

5. All other and further motions or prayers for relief are dismissed.
