it wasn't that deep nau bro and for someone that age isn't it impressive she still looks and moves like that?
grin That's why I said it's starting to, not at Nadia's level.

I need DC to be back big time in the animation game. We've always been better. Time to take it up a notch in theatricals.

This might be some serious cooking with the visuals.

People that don't like that movie, their general taste in entertainment needs to be looked at tbh
That nigga probably doesn't like it because no juggs was bared in the movie .. whenever there's a scene of bared juggs in a movie, that movie/series to usually get high ratings from him ..

Alien: Romulus (2024)

"Depth of space, stunning visuals and haunting soundscapes!"

One thing you’re guaranteed from deep space movies is that they’re always going to cook with the visuals and sound effects and boy, did they serve up an absolute treat with this one 😩. Absolutely sublime!

The movie itself was decent, but the stellar visuals took it to a whole new level for me ✨👌🏿.

The sound editing was masterful too. At the very beginning, as the camera pans outside the spaceship, there’s total silence to reflect the “no sound in space” thingy. Sound slowly returns as the camera moves inside the spaceship, creating a seamless transition and invoking absolute dread!

They also did an eerie edit to the 20th Century logo at the beginning, hinting at what was to come. I absolutely love these little touches! It reminded me of "Happy Death Day" (2017), where they replaced the usual Universal Pictures intro with a time-looped version, a clue to the film’s central theme. It might seem nerdy to notice these small details, but I can’t help it, I’m a total sucker for them 😩.

The visuals of this movie, The Substance, and Dune: Part Two are my favorite cinematography picks this year. My end-of-year "The Beauty of Cinema" 2024 scrapbook is shaping up nicely ✨🤩!
That black dude from the series INDUSTRY had a mid performance on his role .. His facial expression isn't very cyborg/A.I robot esque

Sheesh.... In this current economy space, just don't start on a back foot. From over $80mn to less than $50mn? 👀

I've said this multiple times here.

*Be in a top or well respected director movie,
*at least a top indie director film,
*a project that has been nominated for a major category in BAFTA, OSCAR, EMMY.
* A blockbuster
* A critically acclaimed film
* Or a really popular decent movie.
* A studio major film

All these in significant roles.

I mean it's somewhat simple to be in a serious project in two years if you've cracked the limelight. All the more made easy if you're an actor who's been Spiderman, top 3 most iconic CBM characters in history for 7 years!
Ok that's YOUR definition- the actual definition is an actor who has been famous before but is no longer relevant because her/she hasn't been in the spotlight or in popular movies anymore - it doesn't matter whether it's a significant role or a supporting role. Tom Holland is still a relevant actor right now - he's still being talked about regularly despite not making a movie

Oh I didn't know about all these ventures. Well it's only smart to try and capitalize on your popularity to make more money for yourself and your family. This Tom's own was dead on arrival tho cos the whole premise was bullshit.

Wait how you take know say Brad Pitt no dey bath?

The ones I mentioned are just the few whose brands I'm familiar with, I've either used them or I know people who've used them, there are much more out there.

People have said we are in the era of "Celebrity capitalism culture" as every single one of them is trying to sell you something apart from their movies especially when their movies aren't selling no more and they are right. I personally don't blame them as acting doesn't pay the bills anymore, we all witnessed the strike, the era of the "moviestar" is dead, killed by social media and it's influencers which in turn will soon be killed by AI so the old ones are trying to milk every last penny before their worst fears come true. I personally think it's a huge problem when the name as an actor becomes a brand than a moviestar, if you notice, most of the old actors who have range are the ones who are all about the art especially the English actors from Day-Lewis to Oldman to A-listers like Bale and Murphy who all live simple lives compared to their American counterparts like De Niro or Pacino who saw an opportunity with their fame to capitalize on other industries, De Niro is one of the four owners of Gorgio Baldi, the most expensive restaurant in LA (it's also Rihanna's favorite restaurant) while Pacino has his grounds into various real estates but yet again I understand capitalizing on your fame, just do it in a way that references your personality. Jake Gyllenhaal and Matthew McConaughey released children's books, Jake's flopped but Matthew's was successful because Matthew is the parent between both men, Jake was trying to use his sister Maggie's kids to sell the books, steering into the spotlight like the fun uncle, Omo....... people wey show up to the book signing no even reach 10. This new generation of youngin A-listers have social media now which is in their favor, I won't be surprised if Timothee releases a clothing line tomorrow as he's known to be an high end pretty boy fashionisto of this era, he's also dating a member of the Kardashian klan which we all know won't last, at least he can capitalize on their fame and business prowess before.............or Elordi releases a skincare line tomorrow, something he's passionate about and it's sooner because acting can't and won't fund their lifestyles forever like a passive income can, look at Reynolds and The Rock, they can leave the industry and it won't sting them tomorrow

As for Brad, it's not something hidden, his former roomie said Brad wouldn't shower for days when they were staying together and director Eli Roth said Brad doesn't even use or like deodorants because "he doesn't have time to shower" so he will just clean his pits with baby wipes but rumor has it that things are changing this year because his new girlfriend isn't with that BS so she's "reforming" his hygiene

I mean celebs wey no dey shower or get BO for Hollywood plenty
Jake Gyllenhaal said he doesn't shower some times at the worst time possible...... while promoting a fragrance
Shia Labeouf didn't shower for months when filming fury but people said it was a normal thing for him regardless of the role especially when he was filming Sia's hunger game's soundtrack music video with Sia's then famous kid dancer Maddie Ziegler, the poor girl complained about his odour while filming the video and begged him to use baby wipes which Labeouf refused
Robert Pattinson is rumored to have an high intense BO and it was so bad that the twilight crew couldn't stand it, he's also boasted about not washing his hair for years
Gwyneth paltrow is also rumored to have BO
Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis doesn't shower sometimes and boasted about not even bathing their kids until they see dirt on them
Charlize Theron said she sometimes goes a week without bathing
Kristen bell also said she doesn't shower her kids till they start to stink or even shower herself because of the "drought" and "water conservation" in California
Viggo Mortensen also didn't shower most times while filming Lord of the rings as he mostly camped in the woods, Sean Bean who played Boromir complained about his odour many times
Johnny Depp has bad breath that Angelina jolie will offer him Listerine and mints while they were filming the tourist which is ironic because her ex husband Brad Pitt use to give Angie mints because he didn't like her breath
Zac Efron loves his "manly" smell especially after working out and won't shower after
Russell Crowe's costars have complained about his BO in like 2-3 different movies
Matthew McConaughey says ladies loves his "manly" smell as he hasn't used a deodorant in 20+ years even Kate Hudson gifted him a natural deodorant that contained Rock salt while they were filming fools gold but he declined
Julia Roberts is an environmental activist up to the point of going days without bathing to conserve water resulting in a BO that her staff can't stand, she's also anti deodorant like the others

I went in not expecting much but it captivated me. I felt all the emotions and tension they were trying to potray tbh. I guess Pedro Pascal was too busy so they used Wagna Moura instead. Dope movie.

The Wild Robot.....8.9/10

Now this is a fresh take on an enduring story of perseverance, love and friendship and finding one's true purpose in life. This is how you tell a "narrative" without being preachy.
Top tier work. And easily the best animation movie of the year, by a mile.

Stunning visuals and graphics, dope voice acting, hilariously funny and most importantly of all has heart. I almost let out a tear. It's a very personal and well written story.

DreamWorks cooked here. And this will easily win the awards without much stress all things being equal.
Finally saw it today. Omo.

I was laughing like a maniac, had to rewind plenty scenes just to re-laugh again.

Omo, I cried oh...severally.

I'm not sure I'll delete this movie till like next year.

Damn.

9.5/10.

I was surprised when this got a bad press on here and i almost avoided it but less than 10 mins in, Wade was already roasting Happy, in the most insane way 🤣.

I have since clocked that i probably should stop looking for Albert Einstein-level-intricate plot in movies, let alone from a CBM, and maybe i would enjoy movies more for the entertainment they bring...good jokes, foul mouthed, insane 4th wall break, roleplaying and satirizing real life events, and slo mo brute action? I'm sorry this is %100 entertainment i signed up for!.

I didn't care for the multi versal, time line integrity hullabaloo that was going on in the BG, i didn't even care to understand it as it was clear that the main purpose of this movie was for MCU to bind 2 of their most Iconic amd relatable characters together in one flick, and probably let some oldies, like Big Unc Wesley Snipes, who have been out of the game for long with financial troubles also break bread and eat....i mean they weren't aiming for the Oscars, lets be for real 😩.

I'm sorry, but this was not a bad movie, and if they decide to keep making it, till they are 90? I'm afraid, i will be showing up 😩.
😩 fr brother, Anyone who didn't laugh during this movie is either going through the thick of it or has insane Botox. I laughed so hard during Chris Evans turning into fire guy I almost spat on someone at the front of the cinema. Also the movie actually had a really serious message about acceptance. I really enjoyed the film bro. Those fights between Wolverine and Deadpool was a joy.

And that scene were stupid Deadpool gave up Human Torch for Professor X sister to kill was funny. grin grin

6.5 is actually a good rating in my books. That's above average. Probably cos it looked like same old same old for me. But I enjoyed it nonetheless.
