Vandalised Shiroro Power Towers Update:

The office of the NSA is coordinating the joint efforts of NAF--Kaduna HQ, and the Army in the surveillance of the 330kV Shiroro--Kaduna Lines 1 & 2 regarding the vandalized Towers. This includes security cover for TCN personnel working in the thick forest area of the Shiroro.

TCN team has located the faults and working on them. TCN will soon be able to close and restore line L2. And move to complete the other line as quickly as possible.

Meanwhile, TCN is nearing providing a temporary 400 megawatts power supply to the affected northern parts from UGWUAJI APIR Line in the shortest possible time.

I think the Vandalizers are Rodents and Vermins....Cos if the Vandalizers of that Power plant are Humans, Then I still dey wonder why the Trio of NSA, NAF and NA no fit comb them out and show their faces to the public to see.......Rather all they want to do is provide another Porous Security.

The shame continue to be on NSA, NAF and NA.

A combination of AI, high-tech drones and CCTV devices would sufficiently secure this! But we lack monitoring and maintenance!

Truth be told, Nigeria has slided into a failed state both economically and democratically.

Tinubu pretended to be a democrat for the purpose of grabbing power. Now that he is in power, he is now ruling in autocratic manner.

Nigeria should work on improving their surveillance with latest technology. People are currently desperate for money and could do anything possible to find it.

Countries deploy innovative security technologies to curb these kind of things from happening.

Omo we never get light for 2 weeks o bt that God invested heavily on solar car port.i dey run deep freezer 8 hrs per day.i am finally offgrid .i am even planning connecting my pumping machine to solar system.I hav never had more joy becos d whole north are not smiling.peole cannot afford fuel even d rich cannot rite now.

These things are not that easy.

Many of these important electrical infrastructure including high-power lines are located in remote locations, including inside thick forests.

Serious vandalism that can bring down power across vast swathes of the country can be done within 2 - 5 minutes, and it can happen in many different locations.

It is not practicable to provide 24hr, round the clock security for all of the infrastructure.

Not even the USA can provide such level of security across its entire electricity network.

So, this is not about government alone. It is about citizens who choose to do to their country horrendous things that citizens of other countries will never do to their country.
