And the nonsensical point would be....?

There's a reason this country is the way it is. This kind of thinking 👇 is unfortunately, considered normal in Nigeria.

but bolt drivers are the worst despicable drivers on the road,

When Uber was the only ride app in Nigeria, those were days of descent drivers.
Bolt should include etiquette training for their drivers on how to approach their paying clients
You are funny...
A bolt driver has a simple job, drive around, pick n drop...
But some riders demand more than just that, they want to use your destiny like... (Personal experience)

1. Booked a ride of 1,600 and want to use my car to pack load, like a woden wardrobe, morrow, Tv, bags of cloths... I said no way, Uber n bolt does not even allow it, if one pilot did doesn't mean I should do it... If that lady ordered a cab, she would pay nothing less than 15k...

2. I was on the other side of the bridge, I was seeing this lady on the other side of the pedestrian bridge, begged her to climb over so we go, she said I should go n turn about 2kms away, then pick her n go n turn another 3km away.. I asked her to cancel... She flared up, I jejely cancelled...

3. There are dead spots on this job, you will never get a ride out of that place, the rider knows this, taxi don't often go there, and it taxis charge times 2 or 3, you order me there, I tell you I can't go for that price n blow back empty to town so pay extra and you flare up... Just enter bike na...

4 You order me to a bad road, you parked your own car at the other side, my exhaust burst cis of the IP n down of the bad road, spent almost 2 hours and next time you expect me to go there...

Most Uber/ bolt drivers do thier calculations well before proceeding, any trip not favourable you decline or reject it, no be you buy motor, I can't do trip of 2k and incur cist of 10k...

I agree to everything you said, but Once you’re offering a service you owe your customers respect. Luckily you don’t jam a customer like me that will beat you inside your own car and damn the consequences. Learn to respect everyone even a cripple. Else you’ll meet your Waterloo one day and be killed like a chicken
a bolt or uber driver is not compelled to deliver goods to your doorstep...At the gate is enough, the reciever can send a helper or gate security. I did bolt sometime ago,had similar experience for delivery this time it was in a hotel. Infact the man instructed i bring it to his hotel roomgrin grin grin. I clear the man asap and he came down by himself and started advicing himself about customer care...it was a big hotel,so i knew he is likely a big boy but i didnt give a fvvk.

You can put words together, but to make it make sense is a different matter altogether.

What is the meaning of "business that will involve the VIPs"?

The way we glorify nonsense in this country eh, e dey turn my belle.

MadPolitician:
He was rude
Sitting in his car and telling a vip to come to his car to collect his goods is not how you run such errands.

Lets say some home truths here

If you can not stand a vip and you cant tolerate their shenanigans, dont get yourself into a business that will involve the vips. Simple

Not trying to absorb the law making of wrong doing, but honestly speaking the bolt driver is damn rude, watch the video and see how he's trying to get on the law maker to react,i believe he wanted to trend, little humility wont dent your ego.

It's hard for me to defend any bolt driver. I have seen a shege in those guys' hands. The first time I was forced to create a topic on this forum, was to express my anger about their unprofessional behaviour.

https://www.nairaland.com/5508526/uber-driver

At the same time, I can't defend any Nigerian politician or government appointee. Those guys are mannerless and power-drunk! And they know that nobody will hold them accountable for their actions.

But then, this is my little submission... As a man, who has been around the Nigerian hustling terrain for many years, there are unfortunate situations that you can turn to your favour.

You just have to use wisdom!

All this "It's my right, It's my right" won't take you anywhere. A little humility won't take anything away from you.

98% of people who are supporting the bolt driver through their keypads and posts that are about to start flooding our social media space could have handled the matter differently.

If you're expecting justice in this matter, maybe you think Nigeria is the US or UK.

Wake up! It's an animal farm.

You're not wise as a driver. You serve the public, you're paid to deliver an item, why not gently bring out the item and hand over, You expect him to go to the car, while you're sorted and open the boot. Pride, you won't meet your destiny helper with such ego.

These Bolt drivers if you even ask for AC, they tell you rubbish, instead of making you understand politely. Some even charge you more than what the app shows...

While violence must be unequivocally condemned, we must also avoid hasty judgments.

The bolt driver stated that he was struck three times and had his clothes torn to shreds simply for requesting that the lawmaker, Ikwechegh, step outside to collect his package.

We must also await a response from the lawmaker to achieve a more balanced understanding of the situation.

The lawmaker deserves respect as a prominent figure in this nation, and we must exercise caution in addressing these matters.

That does not give anyone the right to slap someone 3 times and rip his shirt off. If the driver will not get and deliver in the real sense then ask that the item be returned back to sender.

So with all the video you have watched?

With the lawmaker calling the woman who sent the bolt driver over ... asking her why would this silly boy insult him by asking him to come down and collect his goods, with the lawmaker even accepting the delivery and staying clearly he eokt pay for the service.

With this same lawmaker stating we won't ask his police officer to beat the driver up but will lock him up in his gen house and make him disappear and nothing will happen....

What else do you want to hear?

you must either be seeking attention or you're senile or stupid or all of the above.

I have used Bolt extensively over several years in Lagos, Abuja, Abeokuta and Ibadan. I have never had any issue with any of the drivers, even when I sense some occasional frustration & attitude which is normal & human due to stress. Majority are nice and fun to have conversation with.

Sometimes you just have to look in the mirror and you find out that you are the real issue.
