Sometimes putting delivery in the hands of people without delivery targets has issues. If the bolt driver had a sales or delivery target and bonus target , his approach would have been so different. Infact he would have been so nice to the Senator with promises of delivering his package better another day. Such is life. For a high profile customer like a Senator, the delivery from the bolt driver would have been different. A skilled salesman would have used yhat single opportunity to secure a life changing opportunity with such a rare occasion to deliver to a Senator. To manage VIPs is a whole new flex and business skill.


This is why the average igbo trader who passed through a 6 year apprenticeship is a very good salesman. He would have sized up the singular opportunity and become the Senators personal bolt driver or snail delivery man or general delay man.


The bolt driver need some mentorship to identify opportunities when they present themselves as problems.
