airmark:Dey play. A league that Batshuayi went to become legend is a mumu league. Yours words, not mine. Let Guirassy come to EPL before you compare him worth Jackson. For now, he can't lace Jackson's boot. |

Those of you saying Rodri doesn’t deserve the Balon d’ or need to go learn the game of football. He over deserve it more than Vinicius. I said it here the other day that Rodri should be the right winner if football hasn’t completely gone south. Real Madrid always think football revolve around them. Vini had 20 goals/assist as an attacker while 17 goals/assist as DM. Rodri had better impact on his teams(Spain and man city) than any other player out there before his injury. |

Joezinho:Best comment so far here, in my opinion. How can we be promoting EPL and yet don't want an EPL player to win Balon D'or? |

Also, this game is not called Fair Play for nothing. Vinicius needs to focus on his game and stop riling opponents and mouthing words. Niccur has horrible attitude. What he is currently doing borders around lack of respect for opponents. Skillful player, no doubt, talent is not all there is to this game… |

Someone should check on our residential DM who takes a record breaking 2 minutes to complete a half turn. A man who specializes on DM analysis and punditry. The last few years have been a rough patch for him and shouldn't deter all the good works he has done. I know Jorginho embarrassing him had many concerned about his expertise, and now Rodri's Balon d'or will have many believing that his career is over. Some will even question if he's sure he was ever a DM to begin with; but I plead with you all not to be too harsh. I know trusting his opinion will be too difficult especially seeing that his favorite DMs who he raised your hopes on has gone into oblivion; but we must challenge ourselves to always support a brother in whichever way we can. While we pour encoumium on Rodri for winning the Balon d'or, let us in the same vein offer our empathy and support to one of us.

Madrid fans and asslickers are funny. It’s almost amusing how the narrative shifts. Until Vinicius’s recent hat-trick against Dortmund, you’d barely hear his name mentioned in Ballon d'Or discussions. The buzz had always been around Jude Bellingham, thanks to his phenomenal season for both club and country as a midfielder. But as soon as Vinicius had that standout game, Madrid’s relentless PR machine kicked in, pushing his name into the spotlight. It's almost like they're trying to bully the Ballon d'Or organizers into submission in their typical fashion and then wail when it doesn't work out.like say the award na their birthright How can anyone seriously consider giving the world’s best player award to someone whose international performances fell flat in a major year for international competitions? Even his club stats don’t exactly outshine the others. Honestly, it was even surprising to see his name suddenly gathering momentum these last few days . And beyond his painfully , annoying attitude which is a whole different matter....strictly from a football perspective, it’s clear Vinicius doesn’t deserve the award over players like Bellingham, Lautaro Martínez, or Rodri who had outstanding performances for club and country. Vischy:Lol. Those two were deceived by useless media and redundant on-air personalities that Madrid has the clout and PR to win the Ballon d'Or even if you don't deserve it. But in actual fact, players never needed Madrid, Barcelona, or any team to win the Ballon d'Or. You just have to be the best in an outstanding team. Madrid and Barcelona were just fortunate to have Ronaldo and Messi, who gave them unnecessary PR. Now, idiots like Goldbridge, etc., can shut the Bleep up for always pushing prime players to go to Madrid because of the phantom Ballon d'Or. |

Messi didn't make the podium in 2018. Mendy didn't win the Yacine trophy in 2021. Ribery didn't win in 2013. Ronaldo didn't win in 2018. Sneijder if i recall correctly didn't make the podium in 2010. Nedved won over Henry in 2003. Haaland didn't win last year. In 2010 when Messi won he had a shitty World Cup performance, so don't even make the point of Vini and the Copa. Rodri no even make podium for best EPL player and he didn't win best UCL player. These awards come down to voting, where personal bias plays a huge role, so unless there's a clear favourite, rigging dey follow for all. Last year the Norwegian journalist voted Haaland first and Messi second, but for the Argentine, Haaland wasn't even in the top 5. |
