Summary of the first article for those who think it is too long.

1) Ballot box set on fire in Portland, Oregon. 409 ballot papers were inside the box, but only 3 were damaged (fire suppressant saved the rest). The three people whose ballots were damaged will get replacement ballots.

2) Ballot box set on fire in Vancouver, Washington. It appears that the fire suppressant did not work properly and hundreds of ballots were destroyed (officials are still trying to get the exact number).

3) There was a previous incident in Vancouver on October 8th, during which a ballot box was set on fire. Police believe that the incidents are connected.
