Please don't go there. Being "disrespected", which is even subjective to begin with, is no reason to commit the criminal.offence of assaulting others.

Many can argue that the driver did not disrespect the Member HOR and that he is merely a horrible and violently arrogant person.

Overall, I don't know why Nigerians have a problem respecting the most fundamental laws of society yet we moan daily that our Nation is not like the UK, USA etal.

I do not know how well to explain this, if you live in Abuja and you happen to always have to engage these people(drivers, delivery guys, security etc.) there are a herd of them who will intentional provoke you once they successfully push you into anger mode, they will either start recording or start begging making it seems like you are a bad person, THEY DO THIS INTENTIONALLY, nobody sees what they did but everybody will see you in your anger mode.

If I was the one, I'll not release my evidence in such a hurry. I'll first sue the lawmakers and allow him time to dish out all the lies in defence. He'll see my evidence in court and by now he'll be thinking on how to pay the damages

Imagine if the guy didn't record the incident, it would have been his words against that of the honorable and trust the Nigerian police to go for the highest bidder
