However, not everyone can take first place. Not every team or player would come home with the gold or silver or bronze medal. Only a slot is available for these positions especially for the gold medal which every other contestants strives for. Someone has to come last or second to the last.

Their contribution in the interim is what matters. Especially as it has to do with what I mentioned before you replied. We must not get worked up over winning the medal. Coming first is an achievement, no doubt, a part of entertaining one's self, but there are other aspects which we often neglect especially as it has to do with individual brilliance. I would rather a team I support plays extremely good football, pass the ball around, dribble and hit the bar hundred times and lose than win every round-robin match with an incredibly streak of luck and then proceed to win the tournament.

The trophy is not as important to me as the events before it. What you do in the interim is just as important, or more important, than the final result especially in the field of play. We all know that the final scoreline of most football matches is a combination of many factors. Many skillful players would often get called out, or even benched because they dribble or hold the ball for too long.

You'd hear words like, that is not what we want! That is not what we called you to do! Pass the fucking ball.

These are very, very good players that I would not trade for anything.
