You're only trying to bring Ronaldo into this discussion, although I never mentioned Ronaldo in my comment. As far as I know, all the past Ballon d'ors won by Ronaldo were not questionable. Have you ever heard any sane person questioning Ronaldo's Ballon d'or award? Everybody agreed that he deserved them in those years he won them. It was only Messi's past Ballon d'or many people found questionable till today.

If Balon D’or is based on stats, Messi would have defeated Ronaldo in 2016 & 2017 and also defeated Modric in 2018.

Messi had the best individual stats in 2018 yet he didnt make top 3 but Messi fans didn’t even make noise.
