Without religion, people will always and forever be divided. In opinions, ideas, vision, perception, languages, cultures, norms and tradition. One man's meat is another man's poison. Na like this we dey do for our village, na taboo somewhere else. Genocide, terrorism are birthed by several reasons. It's not only religion. The rituals are good things but what humans used it to do is what makes it bad. Codeine, cannabis are drugs meant for one purpose or the other but can you see how we used them today? We don turn them to bad based on the way we used them. A bottle of mineral isn't bad untill it is used to stab your fellow man. Phone has no harm, but when it enter man hand, they can use it to destroy their fellow men lives. Words that we speak are harmless but the way we used them determines if it's harmful or not. Everything is down on human. Religion is harmless but it's the way we used it. No religious books support evils. No where dem write am in the Bible that we can kill our fellow man, or steal or hate or furnicate. I repat, with or without religion, don't expect humans to be united. We have individual differences and this extends to our family, our society, town, State, country, continents and the whole world generally.

That's why morality is subjective and therefore, religion shouldn't be the basis to determine our lifestyle.

So far there's two people in a place ,there will always be chaos due to several reasons but religion is one of the greatest causes of chaos in mankind because we have about 8 billion people in the world with religions like Christianity and Islam having members in billions ,tell me ,which other segregation has that number ,maybe race?

People have used religion to kill ,commit and shortchanged their fellow men ,a lot of Muslims believe in jihad ,Jews believe in destroying goyims and Bible old testament is filled with genocides with a lot of Christians supporting Israel war crimes because they believe it's the source of their power .

Death is a common denominator in all cultures. The answer to Death. The answer to the causes of Death. And the humiliation of Death by the very Death of Jesus strongly asserts that there is no other escape from Death and its dire consequences outside of Christ. Yes. Anyone can make claims. But no one can provide foolproof certainity of victory over death. You could be sucessfull in your career and business and life generally....but like this Israeli pilot who committed suicide...one little demon burrowing into your mind and emotions can drive you crazy to do the impossible. No other Being or Entity has Power over these negative forces of darkness. But Jesus does. Years ago I watched a story on TV about how this Yoruba person who was a son of a Shrine Priest or something,--he met a woman (I am not sure if she was Yoruba) when he was a student in the United States in the 70s/80s. She told him she was a Christian and I think she said something that really offended him. According to him he decided to spend the ENTIRE NIGHT pronocuncing curses on the woman.

The next day he met her smiling and he was shocked. This is because all his curses ALWAYS WORKED before. He asked her if anything happened to her the night before...she only smiled and said nothing happened to her and she slept like a baby. She trusted in Jesus Christ who protected her. And this event convinced this Yoruba person familiar with the dark forces to repent and give his life to Christ. This was a higher Power than what he had known.

There are things I have persnoally experienced that have also challenged and changed my own view about Jesus Christ. I am not a Pastor seeking gain. I also wanted to be so very logical to the point of only admitting hard material evidence as the only admission of Truth. Not until Christ proved to me that there can never be any real Truth without Him. Reality as we know it is not merely bound by physical laws and processes. The Scripture we take for granted can overrule even physical proceses and laws when done in the name of Christ to honor Him alone.

There are many real life conversion accounts like the Yoruba guy above. You are asking for peer reviewed accounts. The Bible was written by real life witnesses to supernatural events done by Jesus acccording to Prpphecy spanning thousands of years. Today, we are also witnesses to the same supernatural events. There are books, websites and Youtube channels dedicated to giving people the opportunity to tell their accounts. Lives tranformed by human witnesses are the superior "peer review" you will ever need. Yes...many charlatans may exist. But we know them by their fruits right? Whom do they desire to serve and glorify most? Themselves and their pockets? Or God. This was what in part provoked so many reformations like the Protestant reformations in the past. The European Church was not its best when it had so much political power. And this is why Evangelical and Pentecostal Churches worldwide today seem to emphasize the personal relationship with God the most...not a dead liturgy. The Lord will always use the humble and willing--so please do not throuw out the baby with the bath water.

But Asian countries that have little to no neocolonialism mentality practice their traditional religions and they're doing well for themselves even more than countries like Africans and South Americans countries that are predominantly Abrahamic .

Why should Bible that was collated by people like us be an authority of some accounts but Quran that was collated by people like us but has different accounts shouldn't be made authority? What about other books that didn't make the collation ? What about Muhammed for instance that claim he's the last prophet sent by God ,does that means other people that claim to be prophet after him are charlatans because someone has made a claim before he's the last prophet ?

The Idea of heavens and hell are in several regions and cultures even heaven and hell etymology is from Norse myth. So why should the idea of heaven and hell of say Christianity be true while others are not ? And if heaven is not perfect,why should anyone desire to go there so that he won't get caught up in the chaos ? Or the "negative" side winning and heaven turns to hell ?

I've had my personal encounter with God and that's how I know that God is God outside any religion. My experience doesn't invalidate yours neither should yours invalidate mine or any other person. People have been living before 2000years ago and they've had relationship with God .

Faith or religion should not be encouraged in place of science or logic because faith and religion is based on believe which fails most time .

US assets will not say anything good about China or Russia the same way China and Russia will not say anything good about US . Most of the electronics used in US and other parts of the world today are made in china ,even Tesla and apple . There are a lot of people in china and they will always need house to stay ,recently ,we saw how China created magnetic train ,first in the world . China will come to Nigeria to build roads but US and UK will come to meddle in local politics and launder money .

Anecdotes. Ok. I am one out of hundreds of millions of other asertive datapoints saying the same thing. If two or ten people had their lives enormously transformed by placing their faith in Christ. All well and good....anecdotes. But when you have 100 or 3 hundred million "anecdotes" saying the same thing....that becomes a significant datapoint you cannot just ignore. This is significant from a "Choice-driven" faith rather than you are forced, suppressed or even naturally "born into".

We are also talking about an unusual event. You need credible on the spot "eye witnesses" who were actually THERE to verify how and where certain events took place. The Jews in Israel including the Romans were on the spot witnesses. You do not wait 600 years later for a charlattan from Arabia who was not even there or remotely connected to the events to come and provide his own versions. Those are what we call LIES in the court law. No sugar coating this.

The very basis and foundations for the scientitfic reasoning you seem to so much extoll today has its roots in Judaeo-Christian culture and thinking which did encourage a very different view of the world. There may have been mistakes in early attempts to understand nature....but in the end...the Church was also a force in influencing the creation of institutions and influencing the political monarchical class at the time to fund certain discoveries, research and voyages. This is why you had a lot of early Monks and people educated in the clergy alsso double as scientific researchers at the same time. Father Gregor Mendel and Thomas Bayes (of the Bayesian algorithm fame comes to mind...among others.)

Most Ivy League Universities in the United States today started off as Christian schools established to not only learn about the complexity of the natural world but also learn about the God who created all this marvelous complexity. This is before they got lost in the tangle web of atheism and humanistic nonsense today.

So why didn't the Chinese pioneer significant Scientific traditions even though all the elements and forces were there for them to create such? Why didn't the othe cultures do it? World view circumscribed by a dominant belief system does help a lot.

The Christian Evangelical mission and ethos is to GO INTO ALL THE WORLD and preach the gospel. It is easy to see that when a culture embraces such a world view, they could organize themselves to build ships and learn about the sun and stars pattern in the sky to be able to understand their geo-locations when at sea. It is also easy for them to try to think of ways to learn about creating gadgets that aid that type of navigation like the compass and telescopes etc..

Most African cultures by the ocean on the other hand were limited by mythologies which created imaginary monsters in the ocean out to get them if they ventured out too far. Most of the African belief systems did will to hinder them from thinking logically and "fairly" for the most part..

Even the most advenced Western cultures today got their early start from having their spoken languages written first as a translated Bible. This is significant as it not only developed their view of the world in their languages....but also helped to form their view of the natural world through that lens. Faith in JeEsus Christ started in Judea. But it was not only meant to end there. It went to Europe and the Europeans embraced it and it became theirs. For centuries before the Muslim invasions, the North Africans and the Middle East people embraced the same Christian faith and called it theirs. The same way and manner it was expected to go to every culture in Asia, Africa and the Americas and the people there in need of a Divine Savior are expected to embrace it and call it their own. NOT the Western Faith. But Jesus being also THEIR OWN too...since Christ did die for the whole world....not a specific geographical location.

But evidently....the very supernatural core and foundation of the Christian faith suggests that it does not merely rely only evidence from nature or scientific observations of nature to assert its claims or existence. There is a dimension to reality in which scientific knowledge cannot tap or manipulate...but only Faith in Jesus Christ can. The Spiritual came first before the natural. The Spirital controls the natural. And Jesus is the Controller of both the Spiritual and Natural Worlds.

Yes...others can put their misplaced faith in other entities they do not understand. But Jesus is Supreme over all. Read the Bible. Ask questions and find out for yourself. Our one and only destination being human is death and decay from the corruption of sin. But Christ died and ressurected to SAVE us from this certain damnation. Why miss this rare opportunity of a life time?

If religion is truly what pushed a man to kill his fellow man, why haven't I kill anyone? Isreal-palestine war isn't religious related. It's a political and sovereign matter. Anyone wey dey support either side based on religion is just deceiving himself. It's just like Ebonyi and Cross river people fighting over land. It has nothing to do with religion. North Korea that has 96 percent of their population with no religion, rape and murder cases are still high there. Why Shouldn't it be crime free? No matter how much we try As humans, we can never be united. We have different views and perceptions about a lot of things and that's why there will always be division.As I have told you religion is harmless. No religious books support any crime that is going on in today's world. Hinduism, Buddhism, Christianity etc no support any form of crime. Politics, ethnicity, nepotism, power, money etc are things that contribute 98 percent of the problems in today's world. Talking about morality, that alone is capable of division. What you view as morality might be indecent or not up to the standard another person want. The western world doesn't see anything wrong in homosexuality but here in Africa we frown at it. It is not welcome. Have we not being divided like that? Here, people we do everything in their power to frustrate any homo fellow.
