The Police adviced him to do this, and settle with the guy(financially) and the guy will now say he is withdrawing, then the police will have grounds to let go, then the man will continue to make people disappear in a more discrete way that no one will notice, he will be smarter with his bullying going forward

Not the social media frenzy that led to public outrage which caused the police that originally arrested the victim himself to turn around resulting in the police then going after his assailant instead in less than 48 hours of the ordeal? Are you high?

It's normal to take the guy into custody because the honourable was the initial complainant,he could have claimed trespass or assault.....and it's normal for the police to invite the accuser when they find out the true story .... Whats pertinent is that mistakes have been made and both sides must have learnt their lessons.

I pity the poorly in this country.

Wrong! It is NOT NORMAL to have a man arrested or taken into custody merely on grounds that another made a complaint against him.

2. Arrests are NOT NORMALLY made based on claims but on evidence of investigations. Read the Police Act 2020 for details on when an arrest can or cannot be made for more information.

3. Again, nothing of what you claim is NORMAL because arrests are instead meant to be made only on grounds of evidence and not accusations.

4. Mistakes made here violated the man's right and the public is right to stand with him to see justice served and equally an end to such violations in the future FOR ALL NIGERIANS, not just this man.
