■ Have u considered, perhaps that corrupt national oil company hasn't forwarded payment to Dangote?. A mean, this is same id#ts who took a 1.5 BILLION DOLLAR loan to partially fix a refinery that they had no idea it was completely useless & irreparable shocked Though Dangote no be saint too
Is that what Dangote reported as the problem though because all I see are people jumping all over the place to provide defense for Dangote in some way. According to Dangote, Marketers are not patronizing him— he never mentioned anything about payment or a need for forwarding of payments. So where do you all get that whole talk from? undecided

Just collect your money from NNPCL and Give to DANGOTE and see if the fuel will not be supplied.

Read the article! IPMAN did not mention that their people went there to buy from him on credit. Also, Dangote is the one who designated NNPCL as his primary buyer. So? angry
Asif you did not read some weeks ago when NNPCL stopped being the only offtaker of Dangote's product.

Instead of looking for ways to blame Dangote, why not ask it is difficult for NNPCL to refund the independent marketers the money they collected from them?

Or you expect Mr Dangote to sell to them on credit simply coz their money is with NNPCL?

The union expressed surprise that billionaire businessman Aliko Dangote said marketers were boycotting his refinery to buy imported petrol.

Is a misleading Headline.
Direct your anger to NNPC that collected your payment.
Marketers need to ask NNPC what they did with the money paid to them not Dangote refinery.

Has the money Hit the account of Dangote refinery ? Or NNPC is still holding on to the money?
read and assimilate

Guys send us a video recording of what’s actually going on . What does a billionaire have gain about lying that there are no marketers to pick up the fuel ?
On the flip side what is to gain either IPMAN claims.
A reporter should head to the place and provide us first hand account of what’s in the ground.

You tulumbu urchins love capitalism abi? cheesy . U want ur marketers to lift oil on credit without settling payments ehn.
Nobody in their right sense would a accept credit from citadel of corruption( NNPC). They wasted 1.5 billion dollar loan, even $6 billion dollar from importers years ago still dey hang.

Dangote might be a monopolist, but NNPC na corrupt, incompetent & chronic debtor that spews lotz of lies
Re: Marketers Spend Days At Dangote Refinery Unable To Load Petrol — IPMAN by Focusmind: 7:27pm On Oct 30, 2024
I knew that Dangote was lying and didn't say the whole truth. He thought it was business as usual, to monopolise the trade and establish dominance. He met his match in Tinubu, who is also cunny and understands the game very well. The reason the presidency is not succumbing to his antics. The warning is clear: sell at a fixed price or else, we would keep importing to maintain equilibrium price

Again, where do you get that the marketers where attempting to purchase on credit from Dangote..it is a simple question and does not demand all of this unnecessary yapping.

IPMAN- Why must you pay to NNPCL? that they now need to refer you to go and load at Dangote refinery. Are the NNPCL the owner of Dangote?
It was Dangote that told them that he can't sell to them as he has arrangements with NNPC to be the sole offtaker. Under that arrangement, they paid to NNPC and Dangote isn't releasing the fuel to them still.
That's why the man is saying if Dangote can agree to sell to them direct, it would be better for them instead of them going through NNPC.

So why can't the marketers pay directly to Dangote not paying to NNPCL
It's an arrangement that Dangote put in place by himself. NNPC is his sole off taker, so the marketers have to go through NNPC to access the product.

They didn't pay directly to nnpc for dangote products. The 40billion is part of the money ipman paid to nnpc for imported PMS. NNPC didn't import and the money was trapped in nnpc. The DG of SSS helped to broker peace and nnpc promised to release it.

Maybe NNPC hasn't paid to dangote. The truth is that the oil cabal both inside the country and outside the country are fighting dangote.

Its true, there is no way marketers will boycott him if he sell cheaper.Remember there is no subsidy to d imported ones.he should check his price,if hes been boycotted it means his price is higher than imported

How do you expect a tanker driver based in Kano to drive all the way to Lagos to buy 33000 litres of PMS back to Kano and sell at normal price, what about lost days of sales?

Dangote didn't look at distribution across the country. Expecting everyone to go Lagos to buy is a mistake.

He should use barges and move them by sea down south to places like warri, portharcout, uyo and calabar.

Why should marketers go through corruption ridden NNPCL to buy products from Dangote refinery. This is unnecessary bureaucracy created to continue to enablement of corrupt practices as usual.
