I,ve read a lot of slurs thrown against the rep for his skin condition. It makes me think Nigerians are prejudiced against Albinos. Personally, I find that sad.

Being stubborn is not a crime. What are crimes are is physical assault, abuse of power, impersonation a of senator, and destruction of private property. All of these were committed by the representative.

That prison sentence even if it's 6 months that Senator will serve and he will lose his office and other will take his place. That way many others like him will behave themselves. Even the Senate President and Speaker are not exempted.

Sadly, he is not going to serve any jail term. The likely outcome is compensation or suspension or lose his seat.
The case might even be thrown out , if he publicly apologize to the bolt driver and advice by his lawyer to settle it outta court with the driver.
And lastly compensation is also a deterrent, but all boils down to the judge discretion.
