Five Persons have been reportedly found dead in a room at Afashio community, Uzairue in Etsako West Local Government government Area of Edo State.

DAILY POST learnt that the deceased four boys and a girl were alleged to have been found dead in the room in questionable circumstances.

It was also gathered that two of the victims were brothers while the three others, including the female, were their friends.

The corpses of the deceased were said to have been discovered by family members who noticed that they were yet to come out of the room.

The family member who decided to check on them, however, found their lifeless bodies inside the room.

The Public Relations Officer of the Edo State Police Command, SP Moses Yamu, confirmed the incident.

Moses simply said: “The Command is aware. But investigation to unravel the cause of death is ongoing.”

However, a source in the community said food poisoning was being suspected, as there was no sign of assault or marks on them.

He said the incident was reported at the Jattu Police Division even as the family members were trying to unravel the cause of their death.

Whenever any girl cooks for me I always make sure me and my friends eat the food together. I used to think if there is love charms inside the food we will all love the girl together, in my mind since na love she want she go see about 6 guys chasing her. Most guys do this especially if you are from Edo state, it's a general mentality amongst us Edo boys, we even joke about it when eating the food telling each other: "guy na that babe cook this food ooo, if poison dey all of us go die together, if na love charm dey inside all of us go love the babe together"... but now I will not eat again...
