The students admission is the worse. You'll be extremely lucky, extremely brilliant, connected or rich before you'll get all those FIRST CHOICE COURSES.

But come down to the west, non indigenes will usually get what they merit.

However, it's quite obvious that his CV looks very scanty for the exalted position and as such, MUST have been politically made possible by Dave Umahi the minister of works. His leadership experience within the university isn't encouraging to have merited the exalted position of a VC.
No where was it mentioned that he had been HOD, Dean nor DVC. So, something is obviously fishy somewhere and we must be frank about it.

Obviously, Hope Uzodinma nominated the Pro-chancellor while Umahi nominated the VC. That's how badly the two APC bigwigs in southeast have politicised nearly every federal government appointment.
Education, health and sports affairs shouldn't be allowed to be politically driven else, we make nonsense of whatever that is left of this nation called Nigeria.

I can see Umahi's handwriting written all over this appointment. Umahi is the most powerful SE politician in Tinubu's cabinet and he can influence lots of things, including the appointment of his former SSG as the VC of unizik. To be honest, the man's CV didn't cut it for me for that position. Appointment of VCs in Nigeria is based on who has the strongest connection to the presidency and the ministry of education

It is very obvious that his appointment followed a crooked procedure.

There are definitely more qualified and more experienced professors at UNIZIK.

Dave Umahi should be ashamed of himself.

A rotational position which rightfully belong to Ebonyi by turn but Owelle Rochas used his power and advantage as the oldest serving governor to contest it with umahi. This is why I pity the poor Ebonyi masses when their selfish/ungrateful political class mobilize them to point fingers at Anambrarians. How did u know, I wasted about 2yrs of my life thinking I can get admission into Unizik, I did pre degree join for Mbaukwu. Igbos r heavily tribalistic. Even small accomdation for student ur fee will be higher than igbos own. Yet they will be the one shouting tribalism upandan. Yeye people

2. Unizik is my alma mater. And I'm not from Anambra state. I wrote my jamb and post utme and passed. That's how I gained admission there. I didn't know anyone or bribe anyone.

3. About 60% of the lecturers in my department then, weren't from anambra state. We even had a yourba lecturer then who was an Associate prof.

So like I said, hate will get you nowhere in life. Purge yourself off from it.
