Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has said keeping her virginity until she got married to Nigerian politician Ned Nwoko was a flex.

Regina, with her characteristic confidence, addressed this while responding to the public reaction to her revelation about her 20 previous relationships before tying the knot with Ned.


FMT Blog gathered through an Instagram live session, where Regina Daniel said, ‘I had so many suitors—20 of them—and I chose different boyfriends for different purposes. And when I met my husband, that was it.’

She added that , “When I started with my husband, I forgot I was supposed to have a boyfriend.

“Then I had like 20 boyfriends, each for different purposes. So when people think I did not have a choice or think my mum forced me to marry my husband.”

However, in a heartfelt post on her Instagram page, Daniels clarified that her comment was not to boast but to reassure her husband and instill more self-belief in girls.

She also emphasized that a woman in a similar situation, with a circle of supportive male friends, should never compromise her values. She shared that she had many admirers before marriage, but she chose to maintain her virginity until her wedding day, empowering women to stand by their principles.

She said, “Hey everyone, I want to clarify the 20 boyfriend ish solely to soothe my husband and also educate young girls that are having several male/boy friends willing to do things for you doesn’t mean you owe them your body.

“And oh yes. I did have a lot, but I made a promise to keep my virginity till my marriage. And guess what? I did!!!. It’s a big flex 💪

“But hold on ! What did you guys expect na ? It was your little beautiful sweetheart, Regina Daniels of course men and ladies would admire. So everyone chill, please.”
