Some always like to claim that they were the victims of the war they started, they forgot that they tortured others and enslaved them, those people really need a good grip of their history so they can shut their loud mouths.

Go to Niger.
GenZ has bastardized this celebration, it has lost its flavour.

I remember when I was a child, this celebration tells a lot of message with different group demonstrating what happened in the war, Some people dressed up like the Biafran soldiers and are intimidating older women and children, men are forced to war.

Now all u see is big nyash, pant and twerking and cultist braggadocio.

I truly blame Gowon for his pacifist post war policy .

There were innumerable victims, witnesses and survivors of the Ibo carnage across the minority lands both that trapped in Biafra and in occupied Midwest .

Gowon abdicated his main responsibility of dragging the war criminals to trial after the end of the Special Police Operation .

The Biafra conflict was not a war but rather a police action and what should have naturally followed after the mission was to arraign all the biafran war criminals in ojukwu's war cabinet, men and officers and civilians alike who participated with the most sadistic glee to terrorise the hapless civilians.

If Gowon had sought justice for those who suffered at the hands of Ibo war criminals, we won't be here debating imbe IPOB touts as it would have since been tabled and settled on who the real villains and war criminals were.

But Gowon abdicated his number 1 role as chief security and police officer of the land and this led to Ibo revisionists going to work immediately after the war.

It is so bad now that a leading politician from the SE in the form of Peter Obi even had the guts to address his online mob supporters that he (Obi) had forgiven Gowon.

If Gowon had put them on public Nuremberg trials, the world would have known the extent of their barbarity and their self sewn victim toga would never be given the day of light.

Liberation indeed, if only they knew about the military decree/ fiat that moved all the oil companies headquarters to Lagos leaving them with just oil rigs.

This was even after Biafra had been isolated and state created for Niger deltans. How greed can greed ever be
