Government release grains from the reserve to the poultry industry, but the impact did not reflect on the prices. What is the government doing to track those that received the grains and how it impacted their production.

Those who made the revelation know what step to take.

It's their duty to let the public be aware of what has been causing ridiculous price of eggs
What is the value of the revelation?

What do those doing the revelation want the public to do with the revelation?

What are the steps those who made the revelation done with their revelation?

This is so dumb. I cant imagine any sane person accepting this stupid and and concocted lies as reasons behind increaded prices of eggs and rven foodstuff.

Answer is simple.....inflation. your official inflation rate is about 33% while unofficial one is about 200%. Add that to the previous prices and see what it gives you.

These dudes are clueless.

I always say this; Nigerians are wicked, heartless and lawless. But our focus is always on Tinubu. The only way the government can counter these eediots is to use public funds to create farms that will be bigger and more productive than the wicked cartels'. So these farms can sell to smaller farmers directly. I am even surprised that Obasanjo Farms is also part of this stupidity. That man used his position and Nigeria's resources to build his private ventures but refused to give back to the masses.

Oga, 55% of the inflation in the country today is caused by cartels who fix prices arbitrarily because there's no structure on ground to check and control them. Stop acting like you've been living on the moon.

I dont understand. You are running a free floating monetary policies using interest rates, deregulated forex, deregulated pricing of petroleum products but you want to regulate prices of products that are dependent on all of these aforementioned policies??

Do you people reason at all or you all and your policy makers are just plainly confused huh

This is what we re facing right now, imagine buying just 50pieces of day old Agrited chick at 1830 which almost 100k? Too expensive. How do we want to recoup this?
Dr Tunji Bello,God bless you Sir - for going to the Grassroots to get the Feelings of the Farmers!
These Cartel are in ALL PRODUCTION Circle 🔴 and it's Only the Federal Govt drastic intervention that can bring Stability to the Nigerian Masses, who are at the bottom edge.
• Are you aware that some Greedy Executives, including States and Legislatures - are amongst the Cartel,as they don't want the Process to go down?
•Can you Compile the lists of the Major Agricultural Businesses in Nigeria and call them to Order?
• Finally, now there is disruption of the Agriculture -Value Chain- due to the serious Inflation in Nigeria so,Govt should move quickly by given Small Loan Facilities - with very Low Interest Rates to as many as are ready to Venture Into Agric businesses e.g 3-5%.interest on Loans of N2- 5M per annum. This will be a Welcome back to many, who really wants to do Agriculture - in Livestock,Fishing,Yam,Garri( Cassava)Productions ,Palm Oil,etc.
• Banks should be Mandated by CBN - to ensure that Would be Farmers are Registered with their Local CDA and Co- Operatives near them,to checkmate the Loan Default and Repayments!
- Guarantors should come from their Local CDA before Drawdown of the Facilities.
- Aldi, Anchor Borrowers Money for Farmers- should be restored.
This should be different from other Facilities recommended Above
Dr Bello- please, ensure you go all round the 6- Regions to know the Problems of Agriculture in Nigeria and try to go into Serious Meetings with the Farmers, since the Agriculture Ministers and their Deputy have failed the Nation

It is not easy to deal with in reality in so far as prices are not fixed or regulated. You can sell Milo in your supermarket for 2k and I can sell in mine for 3k.
I have no issue with how they set their price but the unfair tactics they are using like this

Newlymarried:
According to Bello, large players in the poultry industry have created an environment where smaller farmers are pressured to follow inflated pricing strategies. “The small poultry owners used to sell a day-old chick for between N480 and N590 and still made a profit,” Bello stated. "But with two large players entering the market, they were soon in a position to control 80 to 90 percent of the poultry market in the city."

These large players allegedly hijacked the local poultry farmers' association, raising the price of a day-old chick to N1,350, counteracting economic principles that suggest increased production should reduce prices. Government support has been ongoing, including the provision of broilers, feeds, and financial aid through the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security. However, despite these interventions, poultry prices continue to climb. For instance, the cost of starter mash has jumped from N11,000 in October 2023 to N23,500 by October 2024.

Bello also highlighted pricing manipulation within the packaging industry. “The cartel in the packaging sector consists of five major players who control prices in a mafia-like fashion. If you attempt to check the price with another supplier, the first seller would have already informed the next to quote the same price,” Bello said.

Nigeria's biggest problem is that no one is ever held responsible. The main reason is because the enforcer has been compromised so he cannot enforce. He is saying that not upto 10 entities are holding over 200million people to ransom & their is nothing you can do about it.

Same thing with bandits, kidnappers & corrupt government officials. They are known yet untouchable but they can seek amnesty, rehabilitation and plea bargain.

Nigeria can end all its problems if only they come clean.

Lol...when faced with the level of cluelessness that these people and their supporters present, the below is their typical response.

Empty heads. No wonder the Niherian economy is projected to be behind that of Egypt, SA,Algeria, Ethopia and Kenya by 2025, from the 1st position it had before 2023.

Imagine the thinking of their citizenry....calling out people doing business instead of the people gambling with wrong economic policies.
