Did Jesus drink Alcohol? Do u know wine in the Bible is alcoholic? The first non alcoholic wine was produced thousands of years after the death of Christ!

Matthew 11:19 “The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, ‘Here is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.’ But wisdom is proved right by her deeds"

In the above verse Jesus said He drinks alcohol and people were calling Him a drunkard! He was also eating and they called him a glutton(excessive eater)!

Jesus also turned water into wine at the wedding in Cana (John 2:1-11) and shared wine with his disciples at the Last Supper (Matthew 26:27-29) .

Wine in the Bible is alcoholic and not fruit red wine ! After the flood, Noah planted a vineyard, made wine, and became drunk (Genesis 9:21).
The Bible contains warnings about the dangers of excessive drinking, indicating that the wine was indeed alcoholic (Proverbs 20:1; Ephesians 5:18)

The first non alcoholic wine was produced in 1869 by Thomas Bramwell Welch, a New Jersey dentist and prohibitionist!

The Catholic Church teaches moderation and responsible drinking. Excessive drinking and drunkenness are considered sinful, but moderate consumption is acceptable. They base their argument on the fact that Christ drank Alcohol and also converted water to Alcohol!

That's why it's wise to ask them questions on what they often say God requires from people as righteousness.

The major thing mentioned in that Cana wedding is the quality of the wine produced!

So Christians should do same on their wedding day!

Real Christians are not naive at our weddings and other gatherings we make sure there is enough drinks for invitees because each of us knows what he can handle and some of us don't even taste alcoholic beverages at all as they can't handle it.
So it's not a crime to drink alcoholic what really matters is SELF-CONTROL!
