Yea, you are right, but charges must be for something tangible and sound to the mind.
Imagine charging a kid for treason, you must have irrefutable glaring fact to prove such charges.
Most charges against kid are crime committed singlehandedly making them personally liable

This Adejobi needs psychiatric evaluation. How can 7 years be charged for treason. Reason you see our prison filled with people who had no business. The rot in police is beyond redeeming.

Probably the new inspector General of police is yet to get proper interpretation of Nigerian constitutions and child's right act. It is an international law, not only for Nigerian children.

How can a sane man spit this kind of gilbrish. No court of competent jurisdiction have the power to trial a minor. Not even the Federal high Court.

We had this discussion with legal luminaries and there is no way around it.

The elephant in the room you are all ignoring is keeping minors in detention since August without arraignment. Is that how a criminal justice system should work? Adults can barely feed well, much less kids that have been in detention for about 3 months. If you're not ashamed of Nigeria, then sorry.

Many people protested peacefully in Lagos right under police protection and nobody arrested them. Some peoples businesses has been ruined under the pretext of protesting. So, you want them to go scot free? We all saw some of them carrying out plasma tv worth millions from malls/plazas ? Will you pray your business is vandalized as such ?

You're correct and I support your premise. The guy I quoted is known to be a northern apologist in this platform. If those kids were from the east, I can assure you he'll have a different view from what he has now.
