Her mother was originally from Mozambique but naturalized in South Africa growing up, and later married a Nigerian man living in South Africa and they continued to live in South Africa since her mom the Mozambique born South African citizen by naturalization now lived in SA as her home.


They gave birth to Chidimma Vanessa Onwe.

Just because she passed nomination to contest for Miss South Africa, Xenophobic Mzamzi fools descended on her that she is not South African enough to represent them and in the process the useless SA government waged in and said they have discovered that Chidimma's Mozambique mom used a fake identity to become South Africa citizen many decades ago and therefore they are revoking both Chidimma's citizenship, you can imagine the nonsense.



So Nigeria being the country of her Dad waged in and told her to come to Nigeria and contest Miss Nigeria which she later won.
