It is true. Dangote fuel is not only refined for Nigerian market. It is a fuel with high Octane rating. It is refined to be sold in the international market including Europe and America.
The fuel imported here to Nigeria are all inferior fuel that can't be sold in Europe that is why it is seemingly cheap.

why do some of you guys behave like the economics they taught you in secondary school was a waste? Even within Nigeria cost of production in kano vs lagos is not even the same. Land , fuel , labour costs are not same.

The foreign refineries have been In business for a long time and have achieved efficiency/economies of scale. Dangote has not achieved that yet. Dangote operates their own port and power supply. The refinery’s in Europe are probably using national grid and ports to export. The costs can’t be the same.

The old refineries in Nigeria failed for a reason. Foreign investors also didn’t build any for a long time. It looks like it was because we cant compete with foreign refineries

It's simply wickedness and greediness on the highest other I laughed when some morons on this forum heaps praises on Tinubu for removing subsidy on fuel on the bases of corruption then I asked those milking FG through this subsidy are they not humans are they not Nigerians. Tinubu came prepared he will recoup his money splash on politicians and judiciary to get the president and then make a fortune for his 10th generation to come before looking towards the hungry Nigerians just mark my words this suffering is still on the early stage by this time next year body go tell everybody for this country

Anyway, it doesn't make sense that something shipped across the ocean (back and forth) is cheaper.

Dangote claim they mix it in Malta. May be he needs to mix his own if his refinery is really working.

What is the difference between Dangote fuel and imported fuel when Dagote himself was buying and importing crude oil? He even said the international oil marketers were selling to him through third party with 2 to 3 dollars per barrel higher..
