A media aide to former governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State, Lere Olayinka, has suggested that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, 2023 presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar should make sacrifices and support Peter Obi for the presidency in 2027.

Olayinka was responding to an X user, Mfaarees, that Obi should accept the Vice Presidential slot to Atiku.

He noted that Obi has what it takes to save Nigeria, adding that he and Atiku can defeat the forces of tyranny in Nigeria.

Mfaarees had said: “Peter Obi has what it takes to save this country. If he really cares about Nigerians, he should accept the VP slot with Atiku as President, they’re the only people who can defeat this great force of tyranny.”

Reacting, Lere posted: “Why can’t @atiku also make sacrifice and support @PeterObi for President?”

This is coming amid the proposed merger talks among top opposition leaders in Nigeria.

But Katchi Ononuju, a chieftain of the PDP, had declared that Obi won’t be a Vice Presidential candidate to Atiku.

It's not as easy as that. Peter Obi and Atiku are not in the same party. PDP will prefer to lose the election than to give their party ticket to an outsider who denied them 2023 presidential election.

huh

No amount of sacrifice can rescue Nigeria at this point. The damages that APC caused this nation will take centuries to be fixed if at all.

Obi still stands tall by all standards

At the end, he who has the financial machinery of the state has the upper hand.

Especially in a society riddled with hunger and deprivation.

Obi is the cause of PDP failing to win in 2023? You guys just love delusion.
When Obi was with PDP in 2019, why didn't they win?

Southeast has said they won't vote for PDP again in any presidential election until they nominate a presidential candidate from southeast.

The problem that PDP has is not Obi, but southeast.

The best bet to remove this current administration is a credible Northerner. If Pdp can field a resounding and educated Northerner with maybe Peter Obi as Vice president, APC will definitely be defeated.

Someone like Kwankwanso, the current Kano King Sanusi or maybe Lamido

At this point, I'll be sincere, the people at the helm of affairs are occultic people. What they are doing to Nigerians at the moment is a precept of their plans in their demonic world

The best combo should be Atiku/Obi. Let's leave sentiments and pride apart as this is the surest ticket that can match up.

Atiku holds the key to defeating Tinubu. But will his ego allow him support Obi at the detriment of his own life long ambition?

If he supports Obi, then it is game over for APC. But that support will definitely mean Obi running for a single term because Northerners no fit stay out of power beyond 8 years.

Will all interested parties keep their promises? Will Obi hand over to Atiku after a term?

It's more complicated than we think.
