The issue needs to be addressed holistically. You cannot just take the problem from the middle. The Northern elites, religious leaders and politicians have neglected and raped their people for decades, using them as tools to perpetrate religious and political violence. They're the ones who started this whole problem. They were the ones who bought arms for these youths because they wanted to fight OBJ and GEJ. Especially, GEJ. The federal government inherited all this mess. But it will require a certain level of high handedness by the government to prove a point to these political vampires that they can be caged. It has always been a fact that leaders of Southern extract always say away from dealing with the North decisively. But it seems Tinubu is ready to take them head on. And he has been successful so far.
