Exactly. Businesspeople don't ask how much you are earning, they just want their money, in full, no excuses. If you can't pay them , then go away please.

That's the change Tinubu want us to embrace. We can now see clearly that nobody loves this country. They are all after gaining more from the masses. Forget the rethoric that Tinubu has made his money before coming to rule. They are all thieves who are bent on draining this country more. If the locally made petrol is selling at 990 naira from Dangote refinery, then how much from the filling station. These people and their families won't die well.
You are right and I say a big amen to your prayers.

How much NNPC sales crude oil to Dangot?
Thank you my brother, This is the question Nigerians should be asking? How much is he buying the crude oil per barrel?

How can we judge Dangote when the government has never been truthful in the sector. Aside the fact that Dangote is business man, he is not responsible to bear the extra cost. It is the government that supposed to negotiate favourite terms for her citizens.

No wonder them no gree release price since.

Before Dangote, fuel was around 600-700. After Dangote, manufacturing price is now 990. A lot more than when fuel was imported.

I told people around me expecting to be a saviour that I'd rather have a foreign company own the refinery than Dangote. Man has no regards for Nigerians. Now they are trying to have another monopoly in the oil sector by engineering a court case to stop fuel importation. Petrol on the road to 3k by 2026.
The price was so because of subsidy, now subsidy is out hence the higher prices.....do not blame dangote.

If you were still importing, there is no way won't be buying @ 1,300 to 1,600 without subsidy.

The whole story
Who did we allow to replace Buhari and continue APC failure to fulfill their N40 petrol price promise?

Can it be T-Pain, who also promised and failed to crash the petrol price?

If we keep allowing ourselves to be fooled and conned, then are we also foolish conmen huh

Deltafirstson:
Although the pump price of fuel was N197 when President Bola Tinubu took over on May 29, 2023, the product now sells for N617 per litre – less than two months after.

In his inaugural address, Tinubu announced that subsidy was gone, fulfilling a promise that all leading presidential candidates made during the campaign.

However, pump price of fuel hit N537 per litre days after Tinubu ended subsidy.

On Tuesday, the price climbed further to N617, a development that the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPCL) attributed to “market forces”.

Nigerians have been lamenting the hardship occasioned by fuel price hike. Amid the lamentation, a video where Tinubu campaigned to slash the price of fuel went into circulation.

Checks by Daily Trust affirmed the authenticity of the video uploaded on the YouTube page of Channels Television.

At his campaign rally in Abeokuta, Ogun State capital, on January 25, 2023, Tinubu spoke on a number of issues, but those of fuel scarcity and naira redesign made the headlines.

However, Tinubu who spoke in Yoruba language, also assured the crowd that though people were saying petrol price would hit N200, it would be reviewed downward under him.

“The great Nigerian youths, the great Nigerian students, the confident Nigerian youths. This is a revolution. This election is a revolution. They are plotting, but they will fail. They said fuel price will increase and reach N200 per litre. Go and relax, we will bring it down,” he had said in the 7th minute of the video.

King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall, a Fuji musician who performed at the rally, interrupted the president’s speech with chants as the crowd cheered.

On the campaign podium with the president were Vice-President Kashim Shettima; Pa Bisi Akande, interim National Chairman of the APC; Femi Gbajabiamila, Chief of Staff to the President; Senator Gbenga Daniel; among other bigwigs of the ruling party.

Tinubu went further to say Nigerians would defy the acute fuel scarcity at the time and trek to cast their votes.

“The great Nigerian youths, the great Nigerian students, the confident Nigerian youths. This is a revolution. This election is a revolution. They are plotting, but they will fail. They said fuel price will increase and reach N200/N500 per litre. Go and relax, we will crash the prices,” he had said.

What stops the government from supplying dangote with crude and only paying the cost os refining and still maintain the supplies back to the public?. Dangote is not the problem.
Then we will keep loosing money that the country should have been making from that crude......there is no way crude can be free,it has to be paid for.

The naira for crude policy has it's effects also pricing as it made it cheaper than if he were to be buying in USD.

I used to support the guy but this price is so unfortunate. Literally everyone fought so you could run this refinery and buy crude in Naira. Now you are competing price with international companies that pay more tax than you do, pay employees $60k - $150k per year which is an average of 200million naira per employees. He does even pay 12m per year to Nigerians employees. We are not even talking about transport cost before the PMS gets to Nigeria. Dangote is crazy. His fuel should be more than N600 per litre.

I was hoping NNPC was going to subsidize crude oil for him so he could sell cheap in Nigeria. Why was govt waiting for Dangote refinery all this while?

Well, we hope other refineries come up. Dangote is certainly not the answer and it breaks my heart 💔

I am very angry especially at Nigerians.

This Dangoté was the man APC bots were defending during Buhari's tenure, who Buhari sabotaged all our existing refineries for.
The wicked man poured all of Nigeria's collective FX wealth into that private project deceiving the mypoic mugus that believed him that the refinery will bring down cost to a very low price.
Their corrupt dealings contributed in plugging Nigeria into economic and FX crises.
Buhari and his Northern gangs used that refinery to lauder fx💰 and short change Nigerians while refusing to repair/reactive any of the nation's 4 major refineries.
He simply put the collective economic future of the nation in the hands of his tribesman.

I knew all along that it was all scam and told people.

Now see it, how it all turned out .....I have been proven right.
Tinubu has continued in the same scam path because he too has interests as a major oil industry player through Oando oil and co.
Little wonder why these 2 men(Buhari&Tinubu) made themselves minister of petroleum in their tenures out of all the possible ministries in the nation making sure that NNPC earnings, remittances and operations to the nation remains unaccounted and a mistry to the whole nation.

Dangoté is a very heartless and dangerous monopolist who thrives at the improvishment of other Nigerians. He will go to many length to make wealth with people's sufferings.
Look at all his products where he has managed to monopolize with the help of evil and unpatriotic elements in government.
Cement, Sugar, floor etc and now oil.

Thank God the greedy man has changed his mind in going into iron and steel production....if not, we all would have seen a complete state economic capture.

All of these things Dangoté produces are all mostly in abundant in nature in Nigeria.

The man is just to greedy, that was why he refused to tell the price of his fuel while he and Tinubu play mind games with Nigerians all along, on top of that he is even still championing for total subsidy removal.......now imagine the kind of wicked price he will sell fuel to Nigerians if there is total subsidy removal.
He has also mastered the act of hiding under philanthropy, money&power play to deceive gullible Nigerians.

I don't blame him alone, I also blame the greedy and corrupt NNPC and oil cabals who are party to this economic crime against Nigerians, Tinubu, Buhari, APC and their senseless supporters who defend every evil (can even defend the devil if need be).

They all must know that nothing last forever under the sun except God wills it.
All their greedy evil economic empires must crash while they want others eat the sweats of their greed....it is just a matter of time, that is very sure.

PDP sold petrol for less than N150.....APC came deceived Nigerians and said it was expensive only to end up selling it for over N1,000 in less than 10yrs....yet their evil supporters will come up with different wicked excuses and justifications.....evil cretins!

At the end, what is now the difference between imported fuel and locally refined fuel or the difference between Nigeria as an oil producing nation and other non oil producing nation...??

Nigerians open your eyes and ask partinent questions and demand accountability.
Perfect

The FG has be little itself before Dangote as well as mortgaging Nigerians because I don't see how a country that has 3 refineries that is not working die to corruption now depends on a private refinery owned by an individual. Now Dangote Refinery sells fuel at exorbitant rate.

This is not the proper question you should ask and it shows how ignorant you are. Crude price is not determined by the government.

They are saying d truth ....petrol that is currently imported into Nigeria cannot be sold in europe.I hav known this for over 15years even before dangote refinery came into existence.
That being said,i tink dangote should reduce his price even though ano d price is based on d expensive crude they bought abroad before NNPC finally agreed to sell crude to dem.

Post deregulation, NNPC set the pace by selling PMS to domestic marketers at N971 per litre for sale into ships and at N990 for sale into trucks. This set the benchmark for our pricing and we have even gone lower to sell at N960 per litre for sale into ships while maintaining N990 per litre for sale into trucks
This situation is baffling. If the sector is fully deregulated, why is the NNPC still involved in price-setting? I thought deregulation meant stepping back from such controls. Even the Dangote refinery, once widely supported, is now losing public trust because of a lack of transparency.

Dangote is using the import fuel price as his benchmark to sell for nigerians, how can a locally refine product be N20 difference to the imported price. Honestly they hidden things not clear between Dangoto and FG.

The US has oil and refines oil yet petrol per litre is almost $1. Where anyone got the idea that Dangote will crash fuel price is surprising. Why would he sell cheaper when he can export for market price?

A litre of crude cost almost $0.45. When you factor the cost of processing + profit you will understand why petrol is expensive. Previous governments are responsible for your entitlement mentality. Petrol was never cheap. Someone was paying part of the cost for every litre you bought.
Crude oil should not be sold from the land it was drilled at the same price as an export.
