It was very clear power was going to Isiala Ngwa. The first PDP candidate late Prof Ikonne is from Isiala Ngwa, the person who replaced him after his death was from the same Isiala Ngwa. Otti is from Isiala Ngwa by birth. If the core Isiala Ngwa politicians didn't support him after Ikpeazu whined them, even with the Obi wave, nothing would have happened. Otti won because Ikpeazu played petty politics and lost his strongest field lieutenants to Otti.

Those ZLP and YPP candidates are Ottis boys that left LP to hold forth for Otti in the new party (ZLP/YPP) Otti has potential created for himself. Common sense will ask, If this result is not Ottis personal drawing, where then are the well funded PDP and APC, even if ruling LP is no more the favorite of the people?
Otti now have personal control of those councils with zero interference from LP leadership. If otti is not giving all the flexibility he need in LP going forward, he already created an alternative party (aside PDP or APC) for himself where he will be in full control. Hope you understand.

I'm coming from the point of view that allows other parties with better candidates to lead those LGAs!
The narrative has always been that once u r d ruling party in the state,every other party doesn't win...however,this is different considering his party didn't win a single chairmanship sit which is unique!
Whether Otti intended it to happen or not is a debate for another day but the fact that other parties won instead of LP is a good one!
