Naira 70,000 minimum wage would be totally useless by that point. undecided

Unqualified and fake accountant.
So you now acknowledge that there is something like subsidy, not only that, you also acknowledge that it is necessary to stop it.
My question now is; why did you, Buhari, one scam Daddy G.O, with one other foolish white haired professor deceived Nigerians and protested against Goodluck Jonathan. You and your gang of thieves sponsored that protest and also participated actively in it. Today you are afraid of protest and arrest anyone who protest against your own evil regime. You say they want to overthrow your government.

The God of the universe will not fail to put you to shame. You will never succeed in this your administration and you will continue to remain a curse and punishment to Nigeria.

Animals!
buhari tried to do it differently by closin the borders....

but the outrage was hugh all across west africa....
only solution is to stop subsidy....

we were practicaly financin fuel for the whole region with our tax....

I think it is getting stabilized.
For almost a month, nobody talks about exchange rate. Unlike what we had earlier this year till August and early septemeber
stabilized like how?

■ Distribution of foodstuff to the masses. It was Buhari and Idiagbon.
It started during Shagari. That is why I truly believe Idiaghon was the mastermind behind all the successes recorded in Nigeria in just those few months during the Buhari regime of 1984/85 because this same Buhari who came back without an Idiaghon was nothing but a monster. undecided

As for the Safety net programs, that was advised too. Tinubu was advised to phase out the fuel subsidy program and cut down on government bloat, while channeling whatever monies realized towards setting up and sustaining safety net programs such as the food voucher system, foodbank programs, and subsidized fuel vouchers, all of which are to be issued directly to the poor in society, among other programs. He of course refused to do that, proceeding instead to devastate the lives of the average Nigerian with the extreme policies he chose to implement all while he continued to lavish their inheritance of frivolous deals and the pockets and pleasures of his cohorts. undecided

T-Pain cum Wale Edun, Min of Fin gat me checking out the meaning of REFORM

verb 1. make changes in (something, especially an institution or practice) in order to improve it.
"the Bill will reform the tax system"
Similar: improve, make better, better

If it's not improving the economic, fiscal & financial sectors/systems, consequently improving d standard of living of the people, but drags them into multidimensional poverty, then you ain't reforming but somewhat deforming ...DAZZOL!

Tinubu spent at least Naira 4 trillion in fuel subsidy in the last 16 months of his being in office even after claiming it was removed. That is Naira 4 trillion that Nigerians will never see again even as they believe that the fuel subsidy was removed by Tinubu government on May 29th, 2023. The money vanished into thin air even as gas prices continued to rise unabated through the months the government kept lying subsidy had been removed. 🤔

Stop blaming Buhari for what Tinubu did to Nigeria and Nigerians. undecided

The government has control over those rates. They also know the true value of the naira/USD. What is baffling most observers is why they want the rates at current levels. I have my own ideas but they are only opinions.

Believe me when I say they are absolutely not defending the naira or losing as much sleep over it as you or I. They are definitely looking at some other metrics other than naira/USD.

Most African leaders are western puppets,
You are correct but replace 'Western' with 'Globalist'.

enthroned to protect American/western interests.
I like the word 'enthroned' but I feel 'installed' is more apt. Also, it's more than American/Western interests now: it's the globalist agenda. That's why Trump must not be allowed to win. He's going to f**k up their plans big time.

Know this, and know peace. This is not conspiracy theory.

The last time Trump was there, did he in any way f-k up any one's plan or help free Africa from the hands of any of the so-called puppets? undecided

Kobo, you're not a baby and I believe you're quite perceptive on world events. This isn't about whether or not one likes Trump. It's about the bigger picture. Wars must go on because conflict is a powerful tool. Resources, money and people must be transferred continuously from X to Y. This is very easy to do during instability. The African continent mustn't be allowed to develop, it's the world's dumping heap for now. The Middle East must remain volatile. Russia must be destabilized to stifle the possibility of a multipolar world. The president of America, the most powerful nation on Earth, must be someone that is controllable and compliant. S/he must put the global agenda as his/her top priority. S/he must be a puppet.

This does not in any way address or answer my simple direct question to you. You claim that Trump as president would somehow f-k up plans suggesting that help Africa in some way. So again, the last time Trump was there, did he in any way f-k up any one's plan or help free Africa from the hands of any of the so-called puppets? undecided

I get you now.
I didn't claim such (re: the bolded) though I quite understand how you could overreach and arrive at that conclusion. However, in this case, one does not imply the other.
What I was trying to point out was that a key strategy of the globalists' agenda is to install puppets in a region's positions of power, so as to keep a tight rein on the affairs of such region. What's good or bad for the people of that region matters little. It's the globalists' agenda first and foremost. . America is a key nation in that plan but Trump isn't likely to accept such control or restraint, making him a danger to the globalist cartel. Leaders that can't be controlled are taken out or vilified. Tinubu is simply playing out the script given to him by his globalist overlords.

They need to leave it to the market. Artificially propping it like the way we had been doing in the past was not sustainable. You have to burn through your reserves to keep that going. We just couldn't do it forever.

I heard that during abacha's tenure, things were cheap. business was also going fine in the market places. His only problem was that he was an assassin and a murderer( he kills political opponents).

Tinubu is not doing well at all, how on Earth do you float your currency against foreign currency that you don't have absolute çontrol over, what manner of leadership is this
Bros, because it costs a lot of money to artificially prop up your currency. This is what we have been doing for years and it was not working. The problem with this administration is that they have done a very good job explaining to Nigerians that the policies of the past, though they looked good were simply not sustainable. I remember looking at Nigeria's income statement last year and seeing that we were spending most of our revenue servicing debts and I was really surprised because if Nigeria was a business, it would have shut down by now. You don't spend almost 100% servicing your debts. It's not sustainable (it can't last forever). Let the naira float and please don't bring back subsidies.
