Wrong mentality my brother. The fact that it is rampant doesn't mean there aren't people getting good FG employment without knowing anybody.

Just a few months ago, I reached out to a Chief Executive of one of the top MDAs, that doesn't know me from Adam, on LinkedIn and in less than a month I assumed a senior management position with them that pays slightly above 2M monthly.

I know a few influential persons in the last and current administration, Chief Executives of MDAs and Minister, that refused to help me get a government employment. The Minister was someone that I called a few times as late as 3am and he would normally pick, but never helped.

Just keep pushing and God will make it happen miraculously in His time.

Avoid making general statements because there are always exceptions. All the best!

1st Class and 2.1 don't automatically make them better than those persons that have 2.2.

If they truly want to hire the best. They should make the recruitment process; aptitude test and interview very transparent and competitive for all graduates to participate and the best will emerge at the end of the process. Thank you.

I’m letting you know that it takes more than a certificate to be an elected representative.

But I'm also telling you you don't have to have more than an OLevel certificate to be in the national assembly.

KORLAR:
Okay. Since you have Olevel, why aren’t you there

But it's a fact you only need an O'level to be there and people who have just O'level are actually there. It's immaterial if people who have higher qualifications don't make it or not.

KORLAR:
I get you. What I’m saying in essence is that possessing an O level is a minute and the easiest part of it all.

DeOTR:
I know it's just the qualification, but pegging the minimum for such role is the height of romance with mediocrity.
Even for presidency, the qualification is too ridiculous.
Who among them can employ someone with just an O'level certificate to head any of their personal businesses, but here we are, not bothered about putting the destinies of 200million in the hands of someone who most certainly won't be able to make informed decisions about many issues.
This country will continue to degenerate if we fail to address this kind of issues.
