Who else has noticed this new trend in world class secondary and primary schools being built in Lagos. First it was james hope college then chater house and immediately the investors at eko atlantic started theirs. I hope the investors turn their eyes into building world class universities like this too This is the best school infrastructure wise in Africa. An investment of 150million euros. May be when the eko atlantic school is done we can come back to that title. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_qzJZLruN5E?si=KDebVnjWWFfVgMhG |

Kenya has been voted to become a member of the International Ice Hockey Federation, Ice Hockey’s FIFA equivalent. During the international congress held in Greece, Kenya and Bahrain were voted in as new members with no reservations. Such overwhelming approval suggests that both teams effectively met the expectations and standards set by the International Ice Hockey Federation, highlighting their commendable performance in recent tournaments. This milestone now opens the doors for the creation of competitive local leagues in both countries and participation in international competitions. Aside from South Africa, Kenya is the only sub-Saharan African country with an ice rink. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gjV4gd5Oo2g

Wuoche:Literally nothing happened outside of currency revaluation. I don’t think you understand how Nigeria newly started working its restructuring and rebasing calculations. Which is why those numbers haven’t negatively affected anything on ground in any meaningful way. Nigeria’s literally in the same operating condition & position it was a couple years ago when its gdp was 500+ Billion and per capita. Worry about Ruto & Xo Jinping |
| Re: Kenyans Are Far Behind Nigerians In Every Aspect – Fani-Kayode by AkoniMoipei: 12:23am On Oct 31, 2024 |
AskiaHarem:Is this really true because I've seen the Naira was allowed to float freely for the first time in decades and it tanked like crazy. No rebasing was done. Also, inflation is in the high 32-33 % which is the highest for 28 years. So there is no way you can say nothing has changed on the ground. Judging by the way Nigerians swiftly left the streets and ended protests after receiving a token of rice its very likely things arent really good. |

StivoH2022:With evermore continuing to be put up. No different than the post global 2020 average; but thanks to historically lacking major projects & industries coming online the past 2 years some things have improved to a level never before seen in the area. Outside of some inflation everything is more or less the same. |

AskiaHarem:Ok, I'll give it another try. Nigeria's inflation rate is high due to a number of factors: Currency depreciation: The naira has depreciated, which has contributed to inflation. Fuel prices: Higher gasoline prices have contributed to inflation. Transportation costs: Transportation costs have increased, which has contributed to inflation. Food prices: Food prices have increased, which has contributed to inflation. Food inflation accounts for a large portion of Nigeria's inflation. Reforms: Reforms by the government, such as cutting subsidies for electricity and petrol, have contributed to inflation. But why the huge difference yet both countries are in the mid of structural adjustments. Kenya's inflation this month is at 2.7 %, just a month after the opposition joined to save govt, which was teetering on the cusp of the abyss. Biggest blame is the naira. |
