This means nothing to a lay man on the street. Any economic achievements that doesn't translate into good standard of living and low cost of living is nothing the common man. |

Sensible and knowledgeable people in the country trust your leadership, we are so glad that you are not one to be swayed by threats of losing next election to buckle into reversing important policy decisions. |

Does this mean that Nigeria's indebtedness has reduced drastically? Or we are just not interested in servicing our debts for now. The indices from Debt Management Office is still pathetic. |

How is this possible after all the new borrowings from different quarters. Or is it the more we borrow, the lesser debt to service. Please make me understand |
| Re: Nigeria’s Debt Service Ratio Drops From 97% To 65% by bobbiiee: 8:49am On Nov 06, 2024 |
65% is still much, though less than what was formerly used to service debts |

Good. But where is the effect of the 'reduction' on the masses? Until government ties its actions and policies directly to socio-economic impacts, such as increase in purchasing power of the masses and reduction in cost of living, all these stories on savings are mute. A government cannot be said to be making economic progress when majority of it's citizens are being pushed further into poverty with no hope in sight. |

Believeintruth:In NG Inflation is principally caused by the value of the USD to the naira. To improve that value you and I must create products and services that can earn fx on international markets. As our USD holdings rise the value of the naira will rise. But you can't be importing Heinz ketchup, baked beans and all sort of foreign non productive goods and expect a strong naira. Food inflation is down to non mechanised agriculture, weak value chains and profiteering. Govt can do something about this and it should. I really don't know why the current Min of Agriculture still has a job. |
