Believeintruth:Where did you see govt printing money....the money Buhari was printing with reckless abandon is one of the major reasons we are crying today.....but many of you don't know but think tinubu is the originator of your problems. |

Wen it goes back to the north, they would plunge Nigeria back to 99% again, hence we go back to status quo o. If Nigeria wants to great, we need good southern president for 16 yrs straight at least. |

Godfullsam:It is very important that this is happening, the FG is trying very hard to stabilise our macro economy and they are achieving some results but it's the micro which concerns the common man directly that there is a disconnect and it's not just tinubu but govts at the lower levels also needs to work assiduously to alleviate the suffering of Thier citizens by developing their states and creating opportunities but what are they doing, nothing other than collect allocations and share. |

Same old stories.. I read through the post to see what was the original figure, what are the new figures now.. nothing. Just some random percentages thrown around to make headlines. Now watch out how all their supporters would run away with this headline figures to the press.. no depth, no fecundity. When you ask them to give you the figures that make up all of these, they can't. They would want to fight you. |

BreconHills:Dude stop showing stupidity and childish mischief by mentioning Heinz because before you were born they were importing Heinz and it had no impact on our economy. Even productive economies still do imports one way or the other. They fact is this we do not have a definitive economic plan, it is so evident in this administration. Nigeria has solid minerals, why are they not focusing on it, we only hear from those illegally mining and we know these are connected politicians doing this. So Oga try to shut and not show bias and mischief in your comments. |

Abbypackaging:Even Peter obi or atiku can't counter this fact let alone you who knows nothing.....this information has been out there for months now and neither of them that have access to privilege info has countered it. You may like to also know that we have had trade surpluses consecutively in 2 quarters also our GDP grew by 3% despite all your procrastination also our foreign reserves have been growing, there is new savings of about 700b monthly from the naira for crude policy alone.....you can go hug transformer if you Don like it. |

Believeintruth:I thought you wanted quick results. Minerals is a medium to long term plan. If you are prepared to wait that long you shouldn't be complaining now. I was actually born a few days before independence so I think I can safely tell you that mass imports of food items like Heinz only began to soar a few years after the civil war. You can check and correct me when I say that Nigeria was running a non oil trade surplus until imports became a thing after the war. |

Believeintruth:They are a long term plan or you want NG to be selling unprocessed minerals in raw ore form How do you regulate that properly? Is this not what is going on right now with the Asian piracy? As we speak is a Lithuim processing plant is going up in Nasarrawa state. That's the way to go. |

Text book stats and economics as usual how can the debt finance ratio drop while the inflation keeps rising every day . The only way this can be justified is if our inflation rate drops at almost the same rate else nah scam . Tinubu is using the outrageous price of PMS and other crude oil products to finance debts which is very bad for the masses and the productivity of Nigeria. Why don't he cut the cost of governance and invest massively in agriculture and security to ensure food production, and manufacturing like we used to have tire production from rubber and cotton industries in the early 60s and 70 s. After all Nigeria as the land mass and we were even doing better before the discovery of crude oil. Tinubu creativity is way too low than he was hyped |

I believe the title should be 'Tinubu claims debt service ratio has dropped from 97% to 65%' How do u make such claims without a data to back it! How do u say ur economy is in the horizon and yet inflation keeps increasing? |
| Re: Nigeria’s Debt Service Ratio Drops From 97% To 65% by Bluntemperor: 9:47am On Nov 06, 2024 |
YeyeGbami:-Good For Nigeria: I agree with you. In any Economy, your Debts Service Ratio should be lowered,so that it leaves rooms for more Loans Facilities -in times of Needs. Unlike,Buhari-Era that was just borrowing until it reaches 97% Ratio. That is a recipe for dissaster, since if the Ratio is not curtain, the Country will end up being Bankrupt, with serious consequences! •We should be more Productive - e g have More Exports to earn FOREX on our goods. •We must get our Priorities right- to only makes Local things work.g eat local foods, use Local Materials and reduce Importations.e.g local fabrics. -For now, Government should bring in Food because there is No -Enough -Food in Nigeria, hence High Food Prices ( Inflation) and as a Short -Term-Measure. |

Pbatmedia:Just imagine the concept of borrowing to service debts. The only window we have now is that there are moratoriums on these new debts. Thereby giving us a little breathing space. Well, until these new loans mature for repayments, I hold my piss. What other alternatives do we have? |

2025 budget will either prove this statistics right or wrong. We shall see the amount budgeted for debt servicing and compare with this conjecture. Tax collector presidency is leveraging on moratoriums on the new huge debts collected to claim performance. |
Nigeria Now Spends Less Than 50% Of Revenue On Debt From 97% • 65% From 97% Revenue-to-debt Service Ratio Is A Big Achievement • Nigeria's Debt Service-to-Revenue Ratio Drops To 66.9% • 2 • 3 • 4
