Please how can I reschedule a visa appointment I mistakenly picked nov 4 for me interview whereas I thought it was dec 4, I have been trying to reschedule but there is no available date to reschedule to because ,it kept on saying slot already used…please I need help on this ..the interview is tomorrow 7:15am Lagos and I’m currently not in a place that have promixity with Lagos

I have checked and checked everywhere, nothing has entered. I spoke with 4 different customer care agents today, they kept saying they have sent the link but I didn’t get any messages. My interview is Thursday, I haven’t printed my appointment confirmation as I’m unable to login. I just hope it gets sorted out by tomorrow.

Take the letter to the submission office, it suffices and that's the format it carries.

I was refused and mine said “please schedule a follow up appointment under the 221g category which applies to your visa category and application type (regular or interview waiver) at the visa appointment website. Bring this form and your passport to be processed expeditiously.”

There’s also nothing in my mailbox. I’ve been checking everyday since I was refused. I did schedule an appointment for November though. I’m an adult. But the previous visa I did wasn’t in Nigeria so could that be the reason?

Does anyone know how to schedule a follow up appointment after form 221g on the new website? There's no option for that - only info for administrative processing under the FAQ.

Does anyone have a phone number for the Abuja embassy? Pls post. Thanks.

Duplicate user found seems to be connected to passport number and not name/Application ID .So try changing the last number of your passport number .Your correct passport number is on your Application confirmation so I think it should be fine .Anyone who tries this for both IW and interview should let us know how it goes .

Tried changing a number on my passport number, I was able to move to the payment page, where I entered my Ammentum number. Got the message 'Bank payment details successfully updated'. But I could not move passed this stage since last 2 weeks.

am even wondering, how anyone ever gotten his/her issue ever resolved by raising a ticket on AVITS?.....my ticket has been unattended to, for almost a week now.

pls whats the faster method of reaching out to AVITS?

Try clicking on deposit bank details and enter your anemtum number as your bank ref number ,then the date you paid .It should say bank details updated successfully when you do that and in a few hours you should have access to the appointment calendar.If that still doesn’t work chat or call customer support and send them your evidence of payment (ois first bank reciept ).



Also did you register with a previous email on avits then create this current one ?if that’s the case you will need to tell them to delete your previous account that is attached to another email address .You just need to keep calling and chatting with them persistently ! Trump don win elections so only God knows how easy or hard it will be for them to approve visas now .Best to get it done asap ! Before he starts giving executive orders.

I have paid for the visa fee and I input the bank reference number in my Avits account bank deposit details section. It says the payment is updated but it doesn't take me past that page. How do I move forward to the appointment calendar?

Hi, its must likely a glitch. I experienced this in september.

You may need to open a ticket. Attach your First bank invoice and receipt of payment. By the time its been resolved, you'll be able to book an appointment.

I don't know what you have been discussing with @OyotunjiUSA but for the interest of others ; your travel passport is your personal property and the 2nd entity who is your next of kin on the property is the Nigeria government.

Therefore, if your visa is approved and you asked the visa officer to give back your passport for urgent use, of course the officer can place you on 221G and ask you to come back or courier your passport.

But according to my observation and information from the like of Oyotunji, if such visa applicant is a criminal or wanted and the embassy still want to do background checks on him or her , your passport will not be given to you. The consular will ask you to write a formal letter.

Hi Jenifer, I also got the same thing. Were you able to book the follow up appointment? Because I am unable to that. The avits website won’t let me book a new appointment. It keeps saying duplicate. And how soon did you get a new date.

I was able to book an appointment however the embassy eventually emailed me themselves to come in at a certain date and time. So I’m sure that might be the case for you. As for the duplicate user issue, I didn’t really have that so I don’t know how to help with that, I’m so sorry.
But I believe the embassy will reach out to you in the coming weeks. Cause that’s what happened to me
