The sheer audacity...!

I don't exactly have anything against Black Tax, but the entitlement of many of you ehn...!

Just imagine demanding that someone else takes over your parenting duties.

Even in this sorry situation in Nigeria, many still dey carry belle on top the mouths dey can barely afford to feed.

After dem born, they will start mounting pressure on those managing their lives in the way they know how to.

She voted for Tinubu. No answer am.
Jokes aside, its really none of your business. What she should have done instead is to request for financial assistance which you still aren't obliged to give.

Nothing wrong to assist your family member or anybody in your community,
That money is not enough to waste on women
Re: Man In Shock As Family Member Asks Him To Pay School Fees For Her Child by drstranged:
If you can help you assist. For me there's no reason to start fight over this. Show some maturity. That she hasn't communicated with you for a long while isn't a reason you can't or shouldn't help if you can. If you can't help, then politely let her know. Don't antagonize her over the past, it's sheer immaturity especially if you guys are related.
You see in this life, you never know when you'd need the help of someone you least expect to receive from. Even her child might be your saviour tomorrow or might help your kids too. Just apply wisdom with maturity to the whole thing. And one thing I've noticed is this, when someone does something wrong to you and you still go ahead to assist the person despite the wrong the person did to you, that person would remain loyal and indebted to you. That's one of the tricks these politicians use to secure eternal loyalty

I commend your charity.

So what happened this term?

Kobicove:
I see nothing wrong in helping if you can afford it comfortably. undecided

Last term I helped one of my distant cousins with 4 kids pay the school fees of one of them.

It was very obvious he was struggling to meet up with his expenses in this terrible economy

Most of the people commenting on this thread are still single or still leaving with their parents if you have 3 to 4 kids in a private school with this wicked presidiot on power then you'll understand the woman's plight considering the new increments on the private schools student fees if one asked his or her relatives to support them with their children's school fees it's not a crime

Ur English is poor.
HitSong:
This terrible economy will soon change the way people live grin

- Home schooling will increase

- Wives must work from home, do home schooling and take care of the house and children etc.

The money parents pay for school fees, after school lessons, daycare, house help etc is OUTRAGEOUS AND NOT SUSTAINABLE.

ANYONE EARNING LESS THAN 500K IN THE CITY WITH FAMILY OF 2-4 CAN'T LEAVE A DECENT COMFORTABLE LIFE AGAIN.

TINUBU ECONOMICS IS EVIL.

This too ridiculous to b true. If it actually happens to b true, it shows the woman called to mock him abt being childless.
It may indeed be true. I have an aunt in the U.S. who’s married to a Nigerian man. They’ve been unable to have children for over 20 years. About five years into their marriage, the husband decided to help his sister by bringing two of her children from Nigeria to the U.S. to live with him and my aunt. So, these children have basically been with them for around 15 years now.

Their mother would regularly send them packages with basic items—not because they needed them, but as a way to show her care.

Three months ago, something unsettling happened. She sent another package as usual. That day, my aunt left for work, leaving her husband and the two now-grown children at home. After bathing, the older child accidentally left a bar of native soap and a piece of paper with instructions in the bathroom. These instructions contained an incantation, which he was supposed to repeat while bathing. Shockingly, the incantation was along the lines of ensuring that the couple would not have children, so they’d continue to take care of him, his sibling, and their mother back in Nigeria.

My aunt's husband discovered the soap and the instructions, which exposed the situation.

Are for real? Some people are soo evil. How can u pay back evil for kindness. Does the mother knws wat it takes to bring two kids from Africa to US? They brought two of ur kids not minding the financial implications, they even took those kids as their own yet u busy using juju in connivance wit ur kids to stop them from having their own kids. Which kind witchcraft we go call this one?

I i were in the shoes of the couples, i will simply buy tickets for them and send them back to meet their mother. Simple.

He's the one not understanding the idea! Young ppl without families can support any of their family members who has!

While we were working and have small change during GEJ we send money and even pay for maternity of relatives !

What's there! But these idiot will be donating online to girls and fools doing meaningless stuff on the internet !

What's wrong in paying school fees

Well well well.

This doesn't suprise me at all. They still hate your guts no matter how much you help them. Helping them is a reminder of what they lack and it makes them resentful. They even tried, still hosting them as adults. They should have adopted, at least the child will grow up and only know them.

By the grace of God, I can't make such request, but I won't consider it weird if a family member ask for such favour. Personally I think the whole thing depends on the guy's financial muscle. Being in a position to give help should be seen as privilege.

We don't have opportunity to listen to the woman in question to know how she made the request. The silly boy might have twisted the conversation to sensationalise it.

That request wasn't out of place. I have a friend who is sponsoring one kid per family in all his extended family.
