Re: Is This Electric Cooker Really Prepaid Meter Friendly? by QuickTrade:
Power rating of about 1000 watts (default). But it is said to be adjustable between 100 - 2200 watts, if not, it's not prepaid meter friendly

No!

It's not really.
Their wattages ranges between 1000 - 3000.

The only advantage is that:
They have control and timer
The heating system too is good because it's completely focused on the pot and not the sorrounding.

Even common electricity, Tinubu has turned it to gold. I remember my days in University then when electric stove is the main standard for all the students. Hardly can u find any student without electric stove but today, nobody can use electric stove because of draconian policy of one drug addict. Nigeria is gone.

Buy the fabricated one that most electrical shops sell. Am quite sure that, that very one does not consume much energy with 1.5 unit of light you can use it up to four hours to cook.
Re: Is This Electric Cooker Really Prepaid Meter Friendly? by Evidenx(m):
It does consume.
Also with any heat element material like pressing iron and electric kettle.

Also is bore hole pump and deep freezers.

Energy Consumption (approximate):

1. Infrared Cooker: 400-600 Watts
2. Hotplate: 800-1200 Watts

Cooking Time

1. Infrared Cooker: Faster cooking times due to direct heat transfer.
2. Hotplate: Slower cooking times due to indirect heat transfer.

Durability:

1. Infrared Cooker: Longer lifespan (5-7 years).
2. Hotplate: Shorter lifespan (3-5 years).

Heat Distribution:

1. Infrared Cooker: Even heat distribution.
2. Hotplate: Uneven heat distribution.

Consider your priorities:

- Energy efficiency? Infrared Cooker might be better.
- Budget-friendly? Hotplate could be the choice.
- Faster cooking? Infrared Cooker is faster.
- Easy cleaning? Infrared Cooker wins.
