The wattage will determine if it does not consume or not, but any appliance that has an heating element will definitely consume voltage. |

Lukgaf:the rating from this is 2000w 2000w is more power than an ac. you also need to be aware that it is a chinko product and you cannot trust its documentation. it may actually consumer more or less than 2000w in spite of what is written

| Re: Is This Electric Cooker Really Prepaid Meter Friendly? by Zagee: 2:04pm On Nov 08, 2024 |
GloriousGbola:For Band A users: If you run a 2000w rating for 2 hrs cooking beans, this is the cost: 1unit = 1kwh or 1000wh = #200 For 2000w for 2hrs of cooking beans: 2000 × 2= 4000wh = 4kwh But 1kwh = 1unit = #200 So your 4kwh=4unit: 4 × 200 = #800 for 2hrs usage!! |

I bought mine last two months, it has adjustable wattage from 2,500w, 1800w, 1200w, 600w and 100w. So it's prepaid meter friendly. |

Lukgaf:Get yourself an induction cooktop and thanks me later, cheaper than using gas

It is not meter-friendly. I recommend it for those using estimated billing. I have the 4 burner rated 6600W. I also have the 2-burner, which wat I can't ascertain because it's been cut into 2, and the control knobs have been removed. |

puremaker7:A good hack . Any induction material helps you cook faster at lesser energy cost. So an induction pot could for instance use the same energy for the stove and cook the beans in 1 hr instead of 2. |

bobbiiee:See your power rating with damaged knobs. Why you no go shout "Its not friendly" 🤣🤣 See your maths running that thing for one hr on band A: At #200 per unit it is 6600 ×1 = 6600wh= 6.6kwh= 6.6unit 6.6 ×200 =#1320 for 1hr of cooking I'm assuming you run it at full blast with the lack of control |
| Re: Is This Electric Cooker Really Prepaid Meter Friendly? by puremaker7(m): 2:22pm On Nov 08, 2024 |
Zagee:Yes you right, the only problem is you can't use aluminum cookware on the cooktop.. |
| Re: Is This Electric Cooker Really Prepaid Meter Friendly? by harmargedon: 2:24pm On Nov 08, 2024 |
Lukgaf:1000watts is 1unit if used for an hour. So think twice, especially if you like beans😁😁😁😁😁😁😁 |
| Re: Is This Electric Cooker Really Prepaid Meter Friendly? by Zagee: 2:26pm On Nov 08, 2024 |
puremaker7:If its cooking over gas or electric heater, everyone (that can afford it) needs an induction pot for that "hard to done" meal. |

Just got one of that 2 days ago. It's now expensive though. Those that use with prepaid attest to it's friendliness with prepaid compared to the high price of gas. Have not really used for long sha, I was told to check the consumption on the prepaid after usage. Has adjustable wattage, even when on 600watts the heat is okay and it cooks. Considering I am on band B it's very okay fa. Range of mine is 100-3000 I think, but what do you need the heat generated from 3000w, that's too much at 900w the heat is much. I think the selling point is that it's adjustible wattage and has even heating. |

QuickTrade:No matter how you adjust it, still same consumption over time. 100watts becomes 1000watts consumption overtime to get same work done. That is ,100watts keeps your food longer on the stove |

Zico5:Go abroad where electricity is free nah!! You are the reason why many tertiary institutions can't pay their energy bills till date because you were all used to and felt entitled to everything free without wanting to pay that's why everything govt is comatose......if you had been paying what was due and fair,we still wouldn't be complaining about power outages today. Education is one of the cheapest in Nigeria that's the problem that govt has been having with doctors who train here for almost free and then take their expertise abroad to benefit another society in the name of greener pastures, which ever side you decide to look at it,they both have a point. You want govt to provide petrol, education, health, jobs, free roads etc but don't ever want to pay tax. |

Zagee:Loool @ 3000w the heat will be terrible even worse than those ones they cut and sell at Alaba. Before I bought mine I asked and asked, they said it's prepaid meter friendly. |

tanigororo:I use electric cooker and it is far cheaper than gas. I only use gas if there is no light. Just buy the new one from china 1000w and you will enjoy it, don't go for the fairly used ones imported from Germany oo unless you are not on prepaid |
| Re: Is This Electric Cooker Really Prepaid Meter Friendly? by puremaker7(m): 3:03pm On Nov 08, 2024 |
Zagee:Just get a steel pot, or Aluminum pot coated with steel underneath, believe me this is cook faster than gas |
| Re: Is This Electric Cooker Really Prepaid Meter Friendly? by Objectivist04: 3:04pm On Nov 08, 2024 |
Lukgaf:It is not just better but far better than using gas at 1300 per kg. My electric stove is 1000w and I am on prepaid still I enjoy it . Nothing concern me with gas unless there is no light. Get yourself the China made ones instead of the fairly used unless you are not on prepaid. Electric stove is the best cooking option because it hardly burns your food unlike gas |
