Here's hoping no one will be tempted to resort to cannibalizing others in all of this. I have seen enough supposed ritual/kidnapping/random killing news from all over the country to realize that if push comes to shove, it's quite possible there may be some people in Nigeria who might even consider consuming human flesh to stay alive. lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed
there is a plan on ground to avert such...bread sharing

I saw all of these coming... everyone saw it

Because if someone who earns 200k per month is struggling to make ends meet.. what then is the fate of over 150million Nigerians who earn next to nothing..

It's a crisis of unequalled dimension coming..

In fact..already happening..

And the delusional government is still living a lie..

It is well!!!!!!

WeddingParol:
The hunger seed in Nigeria was planted from GEJ admission and the subsequent misadministration helped to nurture it and even added fertiliser to make the growth rapid while the current administration helped in harvesting it but it is yet to be served.

The insecurity in the North was a deliberate act to cause food scarcity in Nigeria by chasing the farmers out of their lands and any one who intend to venture into commercial farming in the south will have the Fulani herdsmen to contend with.

If you don't want hunger, create a subsistence farm closer to your house where you can easily plant little crops and vegetables. Also the likes of bag farming can help in tuber planting even in the city.

If you don't want hunger, start growing something.
what is the something that you have started growing?

how much of that something have you grown and how much of it will you grow that keep hunger away?

how was the hunger seed planted by Jonathan?

i though buhari/APC and tinubu said they could do better than jonathan?

how come you are now saying they buhari administration was characterised by maladministration?

Sorry, I don't mean to insult you, but I honestly think you might need the attention of a psychiatrist. If not, can you tell us why this is a "bunkum" report? Is it because it contradicts what is on ground or because it has a wrong source or you found anything wrong with the data or its analysis? Or, you just want to let us know you are familiar with the word "bunkum" which you have used so wrongly?

I will try and invent a technology that allows me to be slapping you over the internet. I will not sell it. Instead, I will only be using it on you.

Even if you are paid to do this, do it with some sense like your other colleagues.

I have experienced what hunger can cause in the last few days. Imagine me asking a woman for food. She gave it to me very sumptuously but shame hasn't allowed me to near that place again. My plan now is, when my economy improves, I will buy a lot of goodies for her kids as an appreciation but especially to buy back my honor.

I even begged on Nairaland and put up my phone for sale all to no avail. Many people are yet to realise what we are into right now.
So you are that Nairaland member who has been spamming this site with begging and threatening to sell his phone if he didn't get help. You finally revealed yourself with your original account grin

What more can one say?

Nigeria, a country that is richly blessed in both human and natural resources has been brought on its knees by successive bad governance over the years culminating in this state of absolute despondency and abject poverty.

Things are getting worse everyday with no end in sight.

Tinubu who was touted as a man with the midas touch has turned out a calamity of all time.

Doyin Okupe should issue a stern warning to this people for insulting the Yorubas as any attempt at drawing the attention of the authorities with Tinubu at the head of the table, amounts to insulting the Yoruba people.

Not until we decide to do that that is right, Nigeria/Nigerians would continue to move from the frying pan into the fire.

The usual suspects will collect aid based on these reports and use those funds to buy properties in Canada and Dubai.

I remember when Pfizer paid Kano state government $75 million as out-of-court settlement for their controversial clinical trial on 200 Kano children. People used the money to set up offices and bought official cars and everything, yet for 2 years, none of the impacted families received any compensation, until some people did an investigation and made the news public
Nigeria is a complete mess because of the failure of political institutions, including political parties, the INEC, and the House of Assembly.

According to economists Daron Acemoglu and James A. Robinson, countries fail when their institutions are extractive rather than inclusive. In their book Why Nations Fail: The Origins of Power, Prosperity, and Poverty, they argue that political institutions, not geography, culture, or natural resources, are the primary explanation for why some countries are rich and others are poor.

Acemoglu and Robinson define inclusive institutions as those that: Educate the population, Invest in infrastructure, Fight poverty and disease, and Encourage innovation.

In contrast, extractive institutions are those where small groups of elites use state power for their own benefit. Examples of countries with extractive institutions include North Korea, Venezuela, and Saudi Arabia.

Acemoglu and Robinson's book draws on a wide range of historical and contemporary examples, from ancient Rome to modern-day China. They received the 2024 Nobel Economics Prize for their work on the comparative studies of prosperity between nations

Even if half of Nigeria's population die from hunger, the FAO officials will not be bothered. Racism of 'Black Lives Don't Matter' rule the minds of the Super power nations that control FAO.
They know that continuing the dysfunctional country, Nigeria, is a requirement towards drastic reduction of the Black population in the world.
So far, more than 5million people have been killed from the inadequacies of one Nigeria.
