Read the comments below, isn't it obvious you are one of them... grin
Atiku and the vice president are both from the North East. Atiku is not from Plateau or Kaduna the last i checked. Obilamba on the other hand is a failed divisive fraud. Open your skull and let it sink in that people are not necessarily like you who wallow in self and tribal pity and gaslighting.

The post was made for Christians and Igbos, not for Atiku, while your person there admitted that Tinubu has destroyed the unity of Nigeria but yet Obi is your problem in unity, you see how you guys reason, no wonder the country is the way it is today...

Please use your brain, it's insulting when you refuse to use it. i don't have any person in your post and your post doesn't say anything about Christians or christianity, neither can you force your attachments on me. waspaping or whatever his name is is a popular PDP and Atiku supporter on social media. Deal with issues and not inanities.
You can't gaslight a person who supported and still supports a Fulani man (Buhari) and who never supported and doesn't support a Fulani man (Atiku) with tribalism. The same person now takes another person, from another tribe and supports a Yoruba man (Tinubu) and you still accuse him of tribe. If you are so foolish, don't force your foolishness on me, it will not rub on.

All the places he mentioned have one thing in common, Christianity as the major practice in those regions, but you Tinubu supporters will never see that way because evil and injustice is what you guys love, when I say you are like him is not because he must support Tinubu but because you be people behave alike, you love injustice and evil...

I keep asking what exactly do you people want to achieve with all these evil you people are doing with Tinubu?

Are you okay at all? Are there no muslims from these places you decided to get stuck on? Are there no christians from other places? Why is your mind so wired on inanities like religion and tribe in politics and you miraculously accuse me of it? i have never thought this way and still find it ridiculous with you pointing it out. You are the one thinking tribe and religion, not me. Look in the mirror and stop being unfortunate.

That's because people like you have showm over and over that all you people care about is tribal and/or religious dominance not about the development and progress of Nigeria...

They are not people like me, meditate on that. i don't think like you, they are evidently people like you, thinking about tribe and religion. You are fixated and obviously paralyzed on a particular tribe and religion being in power, look in the mirror. i have shown support for different tribes and religions, you cannot.

There's never been any major igbo contender since 1999 and i don't support candidates based on tribe, i simply pick the best (IMHO) among the main options.

Ojukwu was not a major contender?

Okadigbo was not a major contender?

Obi was not a major contender ?

That's how you guys lie anyhow...

You seem not to understand the meaning of the adjective "major". Ojukwu was not a major contender, he lost to Olusegun Obasanjo, who had significant support in the southeast region in 2003. Nobody knew APGA, how many states did APGA control out of 36 even till date? We've only had two or three major parties in Nigeria, PDP, the evolutions of APC(ANPP and AD) and the rest. It's laughable that you put up Okadigbo that contested as RUNNING MATE to Buhari in the same year 2003. If anything at all, there's likely a split of votes between Ojukwu, Okadigbo and was it Nwobodo or so. All in all, they were not major contenders when you talk about OBJ and GMB at that time. It's like in football, saying some Nigerian player was a major contender for footballer of the year during the Messi-Ronaldo years/era. There was none; maybe today we may have some. Obi is a mediocre fraud, i cannot support him. He only gullibly worked for Tinubu in the last elections.

But you will list Olu Falae as major contender even when his party held no seats when he contested... Was Buhari also a major contender before 2015?

Please be reasonable. 1999 elections was virtually between two parties, PDP and AD-APP. Falae pulled over 11million votes and was second.
2003, Buhari was second with over 12million votes so yes, he was the only major contender. Ojukwu was an expected distant 3rd with about 1million votes. i assume you were either not born or a kid then, this one you're asking if GMB was a major contender in elections. Like in the US elections, there are two major parties/contenders. There are others you might not know, nobody really expects them to win but they also have their hundreds of thousands of votes and support. However they are not MAJOR contenders.
In 2007, Buhari again came 2nd while Atiku who broke away from PDP and joined AD/ACN was 3rd.
In 2011, GMB was again 2nd and ACN 3rd. If you remember or read, GMB contested all these results to supreme court for rigging and irregularities.
For 2015 however, 2nd, 3rd and 4th came together as APC to defeat PDP. i don't expect that i have to be teaching you all these but well.

So was Peter Obi a major contender in 2023 ?

No, no serious person expected him to win. He was just a spoiler for PDP and a social media influencer.

So are you saying you only support candidates you feel can win election ?

Is that why you supported Tinubu?

i don't even support candidates in the sense. But on a discussion forum like NL, i can discuss who will win and who may be the better candidate among the options. Politics is more than emotions or feel, it was clear that the election was between PDP and APC in 2023. Of the four known candidates, Tinubu was and is the obvious best, in terms of past reports, preparation and audacity. If a better candidate comes up, maybe i will talk about it also. Again, that's different from maybe such person will win or not.

Just for example, if some credible pastor said he wanted to vie for 2027 presidency on some new party or platform, i would likely support him as the best candidate but i would clearly tell you for free that he's not going to win. It's politics, it's about numbers.

i have said it several times on this platform.
Buhari was better than the spineless, wasteful and clueless GEJ. BTW, everyone supported GEJ during his acting term and first term.
Tinubu was, is and will be better than fraudulent Obi.

Are you saying the data below is lying?

This is one of the reasons I want the country to break up, because of people like you, if you cannot provide statistics to back up your claims then you are obviously telling lies...

And that is why the country is the way it is today and you guys don't seem to be slowing down at all. Since I have seen you guys are unrepentant and unremorseful about the evil you guys are doing, I mean, look at the type of people I am sharing country with...

You guys keep proving the statement of the northerner in the screenshot below to be true about you people...

For the umpteenth time, you have displayed that you are just clever by half. Here's some Excess Crude data, not the joke you posted or are being deliberately deceived by.
Here are the ECA balances for some years:
2007: $9.43 billion
2009: $20 billion
2012: $8.65 billion
2013: $4.3 billion
2014: $2.45 billion
2015: $2.07 billion
2018: $631 million
2019: $324 million
2021: $60 million
2023: $473,734,57
2024: $473,734,57

It's called EXCESS for a purpose, you can research why. But the main point here is obvious. Goodluck Jonathan drained ECA from $20 billion to $2.45 billion. In other words, he blew away about $17billion dollars of Excess Crude account money. That was one of the cause of him and the governors fight in 2013/2014 that led to break away of N-PDP which joined other parties to form APC. Of course, you were not born then it seems. But you can please do your research and stop this fooling around immediately.
This is aside from plunging our foreign reserves from about $63.1 billion in 2008 to $28 billion in 2015 when he left. If you read your history, his CBN governor (SLS) was screaming about missing $40billion. These two do not account for the generated revenue, these are monies that he met and blew away. NOTE that crude oil sold at the highest values during his time, so Nigeria was supposed to have made very huge money at that time. The man still left us with debt that was about $6billion more than what he met. Now, you dare to come insult and gaslight me with a brainless attached picture. Do you have a conscience at all or are you really daft like i have suspected?
Buhari was paying through his nose and huge debts to keep dollar rates artificial and subsidise petrol for you ingrates and despite that, can you do the math and compare the loss to that of Jonathan the most prodigal leader ever? Yet Buhari still managed to build stuff. Where exactly and what exactly did GEJ do with all that money? What did you expect after Jonathan? For Nigeria to turn to Dubai or Paris? Do you have an education? Anyway, if i wrote pages breaking it down in continued bits, your sentiments would still overrun reason so what exactly is the point?

Your write up is one of the major reasons I want this country to divide into different countries, you see your analysis started from GEJ's regime, why didn't you start from OBJ's regime so you will see how your analysis is highly flawed, skewed and biased...

Start from OBJ's regime with what he met on ground when he became president and what he left then I will take you serious...

Also no one is claiming GEJ is a saint but he is far better than Tinubu and Bihari combined...

Start from OBJ's regime with this your same analysis and not from Yaradua or Jonathan to see how biased, skewed and flawed your nonsense analysis displays...

Obviously, i can't be asking if you are okay again because you are not. i said that Buhari was better than GEJ and Tinubu better than Obi, as choices in the previous elections. Those were the names being compared. Then you brought up some skewed data/picture about GEJ, GMB and Tinubu which i debunked. Instead of you to learn, you attempt to shift the goalpost to OBJ. i don't need any analysis from OBJ but since you insist that it is necessary for your survival, why not? The Excess Crude Account (ECA) in Nigeria was established in 2004 during the administration of OBJ. The account was created to manage excess oil revenues. It was $5.1 billion in 2005. In 2006, it was $33.74 billion in inflows, with $25.65 billion spent. In 2007, $20 billion was the balance left by OBJ. From there, GEJ and his thieving friends did all the mago mago until it was left with about $2billion in 2015.
As for foreign reserves, OBJ started with about $5 billion and it went up to over US$62 billion in July 2008.
Perhaps, i should help you add crude oil prices but you don't need it, you are past learning.

Thank you for answering the question even though you were mannerless at various points but I will ignore your bad manners because I want to focus on the topic...

Can you also tell me how much crude oil prices were from 1999 to 2007 and how much debt Nigeria was at 1999 and what was the same debt amount at 2007 then compare the same data of crude oil prices from 2015 to 2023 and debt of Nigeria at 2015 and 2023 when Buhari left office...

If you can provide this data then I don't need to tell you how false, skewed and biased your narrative is for Buhari and by extension Tinubu...

Mind you I supported Buhari in 2015 because I felt Jonathan was doing bad but when I began to see that Buhari was even worse than Jonathan I changed my support for him....

So I'm not calling GEJ a saint but comparing him to Buhari is by far different.

Because what you are trying to say is that because Buhari met 10 billion$ debt and a depleted ECA of 2 billion meant he and to raise the debt to about 43 billion, that debt alone is more than all the debts of all PDP presidents put together from 1999....

If you can provide the data I asked for from when OBJ came in and when Buhari came in till when they both finished then you will know how biased and skewed your narrative is...

Because what you are trying to say here is that Because Buhari met the debt the way Jonathan left it and then he had no option than to damage it more when in fact OBJ met a worse situation when he came in from the damage Abacha and the military had done and even without an ECA account but changed the narrative for better so what was Buhari's excuse?

Provide the data and prove me wrong please....

Sorry for being 'mannerless' but you have been very ridiculous to deal with and constantly shifting goalposts and acting like you are a teenager with no knowledge of history. BTW, you have moved your goalpost yet again. Earlier, you were concerned about Igbos, and then Obi, now you just hope to prove that OBJ is good. Quite funny if not annoying. i never mentioned OBJ, i said Buhari was a better choice than GEJ in 2015 and i have given reasons. i said Tinubu was, is and will continue to be a better choice than Obi. You brought up the need to support Igbos out of thin air, i disproved that as there was no major Igbo contender. You have not focused on the topic AT ALL. Rather, you are learning by the back door. But since you are actually asking nicely, i will oblige you yet again.
Average price per barrel for crude oil, barrel per day in Nigeria hovered around 2 million to 2.3million barrels average between 1999 to 2015. It peaked at 2.6 in 2005. Since 2015 till date, it has not recovered above 2million but struggles from 1million to 2million barrels production.

i want to hope that you noticed the more than times 4 (400%) jump of official naira to dollar rate from 1999 to 2000. OBJ enjoyed everything possible, a new start, experience, and unity from in and out. He should have done every good thing that we are currently looking for. All he used the goodwill to do was look for debt forgiveness, get himself and his vice private university.

I really wish this country can just break up, reading your half baked analysis is so annoying, Nigeria is where it is today because of people like you, because what you are trying to tall me is that Nigeria is better now than it was during the PDP era....

You said OBJ sold above 2 million barrels, the question is why did Buhari and Tinubu not sell up to that ?

The answer is leadership failure, same blame also goes to Jonathan....

Then you will refused to provide data and Nigeria's debt profile at 1999 and the debt profile at 2007 same with 2015 and 2023...

Because it will rubbish your last paragraph that OBJ only worked for debt forgiveness getting private university...

Provide data for what I asked for and also the ECA account he created and what was left in it as 2007 when he left office...

Keep your silly wishes to yourself; you've mentioned this a couple of times and i have deliberately ignored the folly. Now you have somehow jumped to which party is better, from Obi to christian to Igbo to OBJ and now PDP.

i didn't say, the facts say so, you must have Google and learn to use it on your device. This spoonfeeding isunfortunate. OBJ's 8 years of do or die politics, massive corruption and virtual sale of our nation exposed the keg of gunpowder that the nation had been literarily sitting on for decades. Some of the fruits of his government were boko haram terrorism, pipeline vandalism and militancy. The ones peculiar to the South-south were not very pronounced compared to the north, as our brother GEJ was in power, and anyway, there was a lot of money and stealing (which according to GEJ is not corruption) to go around.

i already mentioned that OBJ achieved debt forgiveness. How are you asking me to show you that his debt profile was low again? Do you lack comprehension? Scroll back though, i had previously shown you the debts of GEJ, Buhari and Tinubu here, i don't know what you want again. You don't understand simple economics of the monies involved/wasted in "defending" the naira by GEJ and PMB. You will still ask through the back door for a lecture on that as well after another round of useless wishes.

So in a nutshell are you saying Nigeria is better off now under the APC than it was under the PDP government?

In a nutshell, Tinubu was, is and continues to be better than Obi or Atiku and has my vote if those are the options. Buhari was a better candidate than GEJ in 2015. OBJ should have done better and had everything to do better, but perhaps he wasn't visionary enough. That's a wrap.
