Unfair Shortlisting In The Ongoing Nigerian Navy DSSC Recruitment by lordsterlin(op): 12:50pm On Nov 09, 2024
Checkout the list of successful persons in the ongoing Nigerian Navy DSSC recruitment process and you'd notice that whereas almost all the states in Nigeria had 3 slots each, Enugu state where the current Chief of Naval Staff hails from has 4 slots!

Is this practice fair to other states, won't this extra person have unfair advantage over others in the future?

Why did you post half of the list?

Something you need to understand, in all fed govt agencies, there are rules for recruitment. The number of staff from a state in any agency is well considered. If each state has 12 in that agency except 1 or 2 other states with 9 or 10, don't expect same number of slots from those 2 states as other 34 states.

If 3 is allocated to each of the 34 states, these other 2 states with will be allocated 5 or 6 slots to balance their shortage in that agency.

Nigeria is a federal republic of 36 states and a federal capital territory. I noticed Abuja has 2 slots according to the screenshot

Almost every Nigerian are guilty of this.

The only President since advent of this 4th Republic who punished his kinsmen to favour others is Obj because they didn't vote for him. He didn't observe Federal character in appointing Yorubas, that's why his father origin was doubted

Yar'adua - Favoured the North the most
GEJ - Favoured The Igbos the most
Buhari - Favoured the North the most
Tinubu - currently favouring Southwest the most

This doesn't mean other region doesn't benefit from their appointments but most favoured make the list above

So you're saying this is justified? That the CNS favouring his home state with one extra slot is fair to others? Take note that the Nigerian Army is also recruiting for DSSC but they made the shortlist fair and balance for every geopolitical zones in the country.
I think we should condemn this instead of glorifying it with the flimsy excuse you're shunning out

Gej did not favour the Igbo more than others. This particular discussion has been settled already, so I wonder why some of you still bring that up.
