Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by dayomike(m):
Good evening great minds, I applied for visiting visa by myself using the new portal on 7th September. I used to receive verification codes to login to my page through my email. Unfortunately on 23rd of October I permanently lost my Gmail account to hacker and Google permanently locked the account, I appealed but my appeal was discarded. To cut the story short, I can't login to my ircc page and no access to my email. I called all the numbers of ircc available online they were not picking, I filled out a webform for a change of Email address which they said will take 5 business days, but up till now I still don't have access. Please what can I do because I know I will definitely get solutions here. Thanks guys.

Please guys what else can I try.

Good evening everyone, pls how do I get the affidavit of support to add to my list of documents. I learnt they use to add it to proof that one will return
It’s not a required document, and I’m certain it holds little to no significance for them. Many people claiming asylum in Canada included that document, along with others, in their applications and still never returned.

They almost got me on the day I went to submit my passport. It was when they told me I would pay 15k for sending the passport to and from VFS that I knew something wasn't right. Since I already had a booked appointment with VFS, I left the DHL office and entered the application centre and didn't have to pay anything.
Hi @naivasha, Yes, they got my Mum to submit to them, even after reaching the gate of VFS centre; and passport was only able to get to VFS the next day after she has travelled from Ikeja to Lekki, only to pay them 22,500 to deliver next door - this is wicked, isn't it.

I am getting various confirmation about delivering the application to Abuja VFS from Lagos VFS, are the passports now sent to Abuja; They said In-person collection not possible only via courier - all this mails are from VFS.

Did you get similar emails conflicting

Hello. House what's your take on the Canada new sticker rules and removal of 10 years visa validity

Olawamiwale06:
Oh okay I just checked now and I found both UCI and the Application Number, so how do I go about the Gcms and do I need to pay for it?
Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by Olawamiwale06: 2:11am On Nov 10, 2024
Hello @jayciekey, pls did you pay when you applied for your GSMC note cos I did applied as well on the 18th and I am not sure if I need to pay for my case to attended to or even get any response from them. Please your reply would help. Thanks

jayciekey:
Hi guys, please I need your input on this.

I am an international student in Canada currently taking a diploma course in a college. I started my studies this September 2024. I left Nigeria in August 2024. I want to apply for visit visa for my wife and daughter to be able to visit me while I am pursuing my studies. The intention is for them to visit me.

A little background: My wife had applied for visit visa in April 2024. The purpose of travel was tourism. In that visa application we didnt mention anything about my studies because I was still in Nigeria even though I had gotten my study visa. The visit visa was denied last month, October 2024. We requested GCMS note and that rejection was because the visa officer wasn't convince she has enough economies ties back home. it says the visa officer wasnt convince that she's financially and economically established in her home country.

We applied with 8m in her account and her employment letter as she earns 400k monthly.

Also to note that we gave birth to our daughter in September 2024 after I had left Nigeria. I left in August 2024.

Now I want to reapply for her and my child on the grounds that I haven't seen my child since she was born. So this time we are applying on the grounds that they want to visit me.

So this time I am inviting them to come visit me and we are applying with over 26m (14m in my own account and 12m in hers). I am thinking of adding everything I used as my home and economic ties to Nigeria in my study visa application into their visit visa application.

So my questions are:
- What are the documents I'll need?
- Can I apply from my own account or we apply from my wife's account? Or that doesnt matter?
- Do we need to do Health insurance for both of them (my wife and child)?
- Do we need Police report?
- For the invitation letter, do I just write the letter myself? Or is there anything I need to do to give the invitation letter more weight?

Basically, I am seeking advise generally on how best to put in this application this time. Thanks

Not sure but most likely so. However, be ready to answer tough rigorous questions at the landing port. Every situation is different and individually processed.

It doesn’t affect existing visa holders.

Application for Canada visa submitted since February this year. Application done from the uk. In fact I got a Schengen visa which I applied for recently and got it yet Canada still hasn’t responded to me. I am really disappointed in them. I really don’t care anymore cause I missed my mums birthday because of their visa delays.

Good evening house .My wife has a valid U.S visa, and we both have travelling history to Amsterdam, France, and Dublin. We want to apply for Canada tourist visa as a Family from the Uk. I would like to ask if my wife should be the main applicant or me. I will submit my bank statement, payslip and reference letter from my place of work.because I’m the one sponsoring the trip for a family 4. In the application form there is a part they ask about how much fund is available for the trip, we intend to spend one week. So I want to ask if 8000 Canadian dollar is not too small for a family 4, and secondly I’m I going to put that same amount for each family member in the application form or we are going to divide the 8,000 into 4 places.Pls house I will appreciate your response. Thank you

If you have US visa, you don't need to upload your account balance again because that section will be deactivated.

I will advice let her apply alone, when she gets hers, she can now add u people. Her visa qualifies her for can+ which could facilitate her process, but if she adds u people, it might slow her own processingtime.

Yes, let her do like that so as to avoid the statement of account area and it makes the visa application faster because they will likely attend to the application since she holds a US visa
